I haven't posted on this forum before; but, a friend told me about it and how wonderful you all are. Thought I would drop in and say and that I look forward to getting to know you all.

Just a note about myself.....Fibro diagnosed 2007. Currently not on any medications.

I struggle with the conflicting advice for fibro and CFS. Docs say that for fibro we should get some exercise to ease the pain. They also tell us that we should rest for CFS.

I've posted about working in the yard while I'm home on vacation. I busted my but in the yard Sunday and Tuesday. I'm kind of confused about how I'm feeling. I'm muscle sore, but expect that from what I've been doing. On the other hand, the fibro pain seems to have backed off a bit. I've still got fibro fog. I "misplaced" tools yesterday that were right in front of me - literally!

Maybe it's helping that I'm sleeping as much as I want? The power went out around 6:30 last night. I read for about an hour using my booklight. Then I decided to take a "nap". I woke up around sunup and shuffled off to bed. I ended up sleeping 12 hours!

Gonna brag on myself a bit. Those of us with fibro are known for pushing ourselves too hard. I'm known for working until I collapse. I've been sensible while working in the yard. Yes, I've been doing physically demanding stuff, but I take breaks when I need to. If I get too hot or start to feel tired I quit and come in the house. I'm proud of myself for having the sense to take care of myself.

I feel like every part of me is hurting, it's been getting worse every day for the last week or so.
In bed with a heat pack on my neck and I've taken some Valium hoping it'll calm me and stop me from constantly clenching my jaw which is making it ache. Hoping my headache and dizziness will finally be gone tomorrow.

How's everyone else doing? I'm guessing most of you are in countries where it's warm now? I do like Winter but I'm over it at the moment!

Wow I thought I posted something but an hour later it's gone. Hmmm I must really be loosing it.

LettinGo Welcome.

Liz you just amaze me. I think I really over did it and now I am paying for it. To top everything off it's hot here. Tomorrow it's supposed to be 100 not good if you have lupus.

I have a rhemy appointment next week so I went in today for lab work. I also think I am getting another kidney infection so the doctor is rushing my labs. I am staying in tomorrow.

I am also not eating or drinking much which is not good either but I am working on it.

Take care everyone and watch out for each other.

Sending hugs to everyone.

Cake

PS: Bubbles take it easy now. Your in your new place rest friend.

Take a large bowl with water put it in your microwave uncovered and it let boil for at least a few mins.. The steam will loosen up stuff. Take out the bowl spray some de-greaser and shut the door again and come back 15-20 miles and wipe it down with a damp cloth or a sponge. It takes no elbow grease this way..

I have an appointment with a new GP today. My old one left before I moved away and the lady I've been seeing since I've been back isn't great. I'm hoping this one will be better. I guess I'll find out in two hours.

anything that cuts grease - I bet Dawn would work after boiling water in the micro... like a moist towel with Dawn.

welp, I had a follow up with the doc who had put me on Lyrica (totally opposite effect of what is supposed to happen) and also had a check up due to having a temp of 100 and feeling "tired". It's not so much tired as "faint". But somehow my words didn't translate right. I'm likely dehydrated. I meant to pick up some electrolyte drink but forgot. don't feel like I can drive, and at 90 degrees, I sure can't walk the mile. I'd do a faceplant for certain. I guess I could call her after hour service, but what good it would do I don't know. She'd probably tell me to hydrate. I don't think I've had much water. Or I could have chicken broth >_< It's so hot tho. She said there's a virus going around that is mainly mild fever and fatigue. yay. This has already been going on for 3 weeks... but I just keep doing what I always do, because that's what we fibro people do, right? We always feel like crap pretty much, so what's a fever to boot? Not like the medical community listens to me anyway. "Just keep swimming". I do hope the fever goes away soon and stays gone.... I'm tired of being tired and I'd like to know for sure that I won't black out.
Hugs all!

… Scared… heart beating strange, dizzy, feeling like I'll black out… and I spilled hot soup all over my leg. For once I'm afraid to be alone in my place. I don't bother with the hospital – all they would do is take an EKG and send me home after six hours of waiting in the lobby. Been there done that.

Kiya if you get much worse please call 911. They will take you right in.

I know the feeling of not being able to leave to get simple stuff like water or juice. I am having major issues with just just getting food down or water or juice.

My daughter did go get me some cranberry juice and bottle water the other day but my stomach and my side are rolling.

Hubby is home. He worked a normal shift yesterday then had to go back last night. When he got home this morning he did not go to bed he started doing things around the house.

It's supposed to be cooler today. Last night I was laying on the tile floor with a pillow and the cat when hubby left for work. he made me go to our room which was fine.

Christina thank you I need to find easier ways to clean and your a big help.

Take care everyone

I put this in Health, but you all know me and I want to put it in here too, and add something I forgot...

Can I ask a semi serious, semi stupid question of everyone? Typically one goes to a dr for medical advice, but I am not sure I agree with what I am told concerning my heart.
Things that have concerned dr's over the years: irregular heart beat, heart murmur, heart beating in stomach, heart dropping beats then speeding up, heart speeding up when breathing in.
Other factors: family history of heart disease on both sides. Mom has same factors I do and sees a cardiologist who told her her heart words harder than it should plus there's a small leak. One thing she has that I don't is afib. I also know that while my good cholesterol is low, my bad cholesterol ( plaque forming) is higher than it should be. I often feel faint or get "cold water" feeling through veins right before I think I'll black out. All my EKGs are normal.
My question is- shouldn't I be seeing a cardiologist? No dr has ever suggested it and the one I just asked didn't think so. "Go to ER if you feel worse". I'm not in an emergency and one doesn't go to cardios for emergencies anyway. Am I missing something? Do I just ignore all my symptoms? Thoughts?

Also, I don't need a dr referral to see a specialist... Do you think I should set out on my own?

By all means, make an appt. to see a cardio. It can't hurt and you need to be seen. He might help you.
