To answer the original question, it's actually a technical and administrative question --

"Why are there so many anonymous visitors on the site?"

One of the causes of the "anonymous" visitor is that the software Google uses to show you the most relevant ads for a particular post will actually appear as one of these "anonymous" visitors. But it's not a human, just a piece of software using a computer algorithm to try and show you a relevant ad. So many of those "anonymous" users are just this.

This question has come up so often, I wanted to put it to rest. The "Who's Online" functionality is not one something should spend a lot of time "reading into" as it's not 100% accurate and it's not put there for people to just watch...

Thanks,
DocJohn

Uh... Doc? No... I wasn't questioning the amount of anon users... I said that I was checking to see who was online and checked the threads some anon users were looking at and they were mine. It had absolutely NOTHING to do with technology. LOL

The Anonymous Users and Invisible Users concept has already been explained to me several times. HEY... Hmmmm....

Just came back from being knocked off the Internet for the second time because of the beautiful, wonderful thunderstorm we're having. Keep in mind "It never rains in Southern California. Girl, don't they warn ya?" So I'd better get off and stay off until this is over. Not used to it, BUT I LOVE IT!!!

Ya'll behave while I'm gone, ok? LOL Hmmmm....

mellors,

Have you visited the "imagination" thread in the social forum? Not sure if that is your cup of tea of not... but our imaginary land has a nice monorail, hovercrafts, horses and a teletransportation system.

Maybe with some tinkering one of those can bring us outside the imaginary land into forum territory. After all, that was ALWAYS happening on Star Trek with the holodeck! (I always wondered... sometimes it seemed like every time they used the holodeck it would end up putting the Enterprise in great danger due to a malfunction of one sort or another. Shouldn't Starfleet have closed all the holodecks DOWN across the fleet until they fixed those problems???)

And what's with those darn unreliable EPS couplers???!!!

i was thinking of using my stargate dexter, but i havent got a cable long enought to reach the street lamps for the power source, i could try it with my portable generator but if the petrol runs out mid journey i dont know where i will end up, atlantis maybe?

i have browsed the thread a couple of times but my idea of community living is me, myself and i, taking into consideration my DID this a very apt statement.
