Hi Sending many pics as one file via e-mail attachment

I have a CD photo album and I've made a file that contains all the CD's pics in it.

I have Windows XP Home Edition. How do I send the entire file and not have to send each pic individually via e-mail attachment?

Do you have Winzip on your computer? It's a program that compacts all the files into one "zipped" file. You e-mail the ".zip" file and the the receiver just has to double-click it to extract all the files.

If you don't already have the program, you can download it at: http://www.winzip.com/ Just click on the "DOWNLOAD FREE TRIAL" button. It's very easy to use.

Do a search for "winzip.exe." If nothing shows up, it means you don't have it. If you don't have it, you can download it from the link I gave you. Once it has finished downloading, just double-click the "winzip.exe" file and it will guide you through installation.

If you use Windows XP you don't need to install WinZip. Just right click on the file you want to compress, choose Send to --> Compressed (zipped) Folder.

Yeah, it doesn't come with WinZip; you'd have to download it.

I have winzip but when i attach the file to e-mails my email account tells me that it is too large. It can only handle 10 MB and the file is over 24 thousand KB (I think I got the MB KB correct Sending many pics as one file via e-mail attachment )

USE: WinZip (or) just attach the Main File before you send.

For future reference: Sending many pics as one file via e-mail attachment
If you want to send a bigger file you can split it into several parts. You can also use Rapidshare. Click Browse to choose a file from your hard drive --> click Upload --> wait until it uploads --> when the words "<font color="red">File.....uploaded</font>" appear scroll to the bottom of the page and click "<font color="blue">I don't want a collector's account right now. Just give me the download-link</font>". Your download link will appear at the bottom of the page (<font color="green">Download-Link #1: ....</font>). Copy it and send to the person you want to show your pictures to.

When the person clicks the link it takes them to the Rapidshare page. They have to click "Free" --> wait for the download ticket (about 1 minute) --> type in the requested text --> and click Download. The file downloads to their desktop.

That's great! Additionally, if you shrink the file sizes, they will send faster, since the files will be smaller.
