You're right April it isn't the place nor time for hate publicly on the forums; ever - even though there are there are those who are rightfully furious right now by the wool that was pulled over their eyes.

We were scammed. But we have the choice to forgive / ignore / move on / carry on being mad etc. without demonstrating public hatered

If you are here, just be here.

You won't know how people will treat you unless you are.

If you are taking time off (as you said) then take time off.

I will add that what you decide to do will affect any correspondence people have with you in the future. Choose wisely.

To scam is to knowingly pull off a dishonest scheme.

For every tear you shed Anna, there are a multitude of members who have been hurting too by what you did. You need to take care of yourself and find time to heal from whatever has caused this situation to be. And in so doing with the small break you said you will be having, allow members here the time to heal from what you did. I'm sorry it all turned out this way

I understand the need to be loved, the lies you created to surround you, how you became the person your lies created. I understand all too well. We may not have been on good terms - or any terms at all, actually - but you can still come back and be accepted with open arms.

I honestly can't help but see hypocrisy in the assertion that those who openly express anger and hatred over this are horrible and have no place here. For most, that behavior is a part of THEIR issues and illnesses. Why is tolerance and acceptance of some issues and illnesses expected but not others?

It isn't like people frequent this place because they are well, or have good control, or are stable and patient. What only the people we like deserve compassion, tolerance, and acceptance? But those we don't like can and should just eff off and have no place here?

Personally... *I* am not cool with that at all.

Someone earlier asked the question of how those who are on the Autistic spectrum might feel seeing all this unravel.

Having known you while I continued my own ASD journey to the final conclusion of DX, the recent revelation of your apology has been confusing... and though I am well versed in dealing with the internet... a bit overwhelming when I first saw it.

It's been another reinforced lesson for me re gullibility, as I do see things in black and white terms... and though I've been more neutral and distant than many of your friends... it did hurt.

That said, I am also grateful that I maintained the neutral and distant situation, I guess developed by experience on other forums... as it's helped to reduce confusion and panic when someone I think I know does a 360 on me (often leaving me in an overwhelmed state where I mull in a vicious circle till I have time to process it).

I do wish you well Anna... I don't hate you for what you've done... I do however hope that you find this a useful life lesson that prevents you falling into such a trap again (lieing and then having to build upon that lie to maintain it and prevent yourself getting hurt)

Anna, I'm glad you're still here. Honestly I'm not hurt, just surprised, but I'm sorry for the people who are hurt. But I think that we have to remember that Anna didn't want to hurt anyone.
I agree that you have been brave to tell the truth Anna You wouldn't have done it if you didn't really care about us and if you weren't a good person.
I wanted to ask, is it true that you use sign language in real life instead of talking? I'm curious to know you better now

People try to get their needs met any way they can and know how. Sometimes it works well, sometimes it doesn't. That's why there are therapists. Thanks for clearing the air Anna. I can understand why you did this, and I wish you well.

So I went back to your older threads and realized I replied to one in the past actually. You seemed bit awkward, but intelligent back then.

I am sure you had your reasons for creating this vulnerable, hard to comprehend Anna, in her own world with nice niceties and English language deconstructed. Sure people liked you, but not for your whole personality. It might have been sympathy, our caring instincts... I don't know. I had hard time understanding your created alterego. And didn't have common interests really.

I think you probably deterred many people from being able to give you advice and support to be the best you can be. Instead they comforted you in your state of being, thinking this is all you are and can be. You wasted time, didn't you?

Yeah, people are hurt, but you hurt yourself the most. You allowed yourself regress in your lies. You created relationships based on lies. Even if people forgive you, maybe they will not click with the real you. And people who might have liked real you were "turned off" by your pretended personality... It's like pretending you are tiny blonde on a dating site, if you are in fact exotic Amazon. Everybody will find people who like them... but people who liked the created Anna are not the same as those who would like the real Anna. Just too different personalities.
