.....

I am getting the really bad ones that make you wake up shaking and with extreme anxiety, as if you were about to die.

Every night...

To the point I am becoming afraid of sleeping

Have you talked to your counselor? You really need to.

I had one reoccurring nightmare where I was electrocuted. I woke up just as they threw the switch.

Have your SO hold you til you're asleep, if that's an option. Sounds corny, but it worked for me once upon a time. Break up your evening routine. I'm so sorry you're going through this, but the nightmares will stop. Give yourself time to heal and accept that they're part of that process. SO? I have no friends or family, but I don't know what a SO is.

He is on holidays, I don't have any way to contact him. Anyway, he is not helpful, and he refused to prescribe me prazosine in July since he would be outside all August. He doesn't trust meds he hasnt used before but he told me he might give it a try on September.

I'm sorry that this is happening to you at the moment. Is it something that you have experienced before, or has it just started happening? Do you think it is linked to your counsellor being away and having no other support? When is your counsellor back? Is it possible to see someone else in the meantime?

It hasn't happened before, I have it since the end of July. I have had nightmares before but they weren't everyday.
I doubt it is liked to my counsellor since I don't like seing him, actually I saw him once in July and it was to ask him for prazosin. I used to see him weekly before but got tired of him not being helpful, he still wants me to come weekly.

He is back in September.

No, I can't see anyone else, I wanted to see another therapist but there are not any more therapist available in my area from the public system and I can't pay for one.

He is an enemy, not an ally. I just want prazosin, not anything else from him. He causes me pain, I don't want to see him unless it is for prazosin.

He plays games and trick me,I don't know why.

Why is he divided in two, the good one and the evil one?

I feel like that about my T sometimes. Sometimes I feel that T is good, supportive and helpful and other times, it is like I don't know T at all and I feel let down and ready to quit.

Sometimes I think it is me misreading T, but other times I think it is T who gets it wrong.

Some things that T has done in the past, have been confusing and even hurtful, but looking back, maybe ultimately they were in my best interests.

I'm sorry you don't find your T helpful, have you spoken to him about how you feel?

I hope you get some relief from the nightmares soon.

Take care.
