things seem so messed up at the moment. i feel very alone and cant stop crying! ive become very low the past few days and cant seem to pull myself up (as other keep telling me to!)
how am i meant to deal with all these emotions? because i am honestly struggling so much right now! |

Have you tried to journal your feelings? It's a good step you're taking by writing on here and asking for help. How long has this been going on for? I wish you could write more about what you are going through, I hope things will settle down soon

Hi,
Yes i have tried to journal my feelings, both through just writing, and through writing poems and drawing. But right now nothing is helping me! Its up and down alot, i can go through times where Im not happy but im not feeling this low. And then other times I can be very low (like right now!) Although to be honest, these feelings have been going on for the past month or so, they have now escalated. Thankyou. Im new to this site, so tends to take me a while to open up about things. |

Hi Sarahh I know how you feel and it's not a nice feeling :-(
wish life was easier all we really want is to get on with life but at times like your going through now nothing seems to help me either ,I still try (even tough I dont want to ) to go for a walk or listen to some music just so I can be alone and shut out the world so to speak it does not always help but I feel worse if I dont try especially for my kids .Hope you feel less overwhelmed soon X

im sry that you feel so overwhelmed. is there anyone you can talk to? friend, family member, t, etc?

i think here is a good place to discuss your emotions. many people here are also going through the same things. Try to do something small to make you feel a bit better or to distract yourself from those negative emotions. One method which I used was cutting. (Pls don't do it). Once you start, it can be quite addictive and you become dependent on it. I have since stopped. Now, i try to make an effort do some volunteering work even though I don't feel like going. It does feel better, not as worst as initially when you were doing nothing.

thankyou everyone.. well things have been getting worse, ive been hospitalised twice in the past week, and the police and adult social services have got involved. kittycat- its too late im afraid i have been cutting since i was 14 and although i stopped for 6 months i have recently started doing it daily. i agree it is definitely addictive!

Helpful tip to stop cutting-
Think about how much you will disappoint others who are trying to help you. I really miss cutting... I went to look at pictures of keloids from cutting and that scared me enough to control myself and wait another day. Or you can try to do other things to temporary distract yourself. |

ive tried many different ways of stopping.. and the longest i have gone without cutting is 6 months.. ive done the same as you, looking at pictures of keloids distracting myself.. but, especially lately, nothing can distract me or stop me from wanting to do it!
Although a positive may actually have come from being hospitalised becos they're getting me reassessed as more than one doctor now thinks i have bipolar. Now just to get through the assessment, i hate them!! |

I'm sorry you are in so much pain right now. Friday I had a similar spell where things just seemed hopeless and overwhelming. I was able to go to a friendly restaurant I frequent where the people seemed to be glad to see me and I could sit in a public place for awhile. Once I was a little calmer, I used a CBT app I have to think through what made me upset. I was able to rationally look at my thoughts which also helped a bit. I hope things get better for you.
