Hi everyone

Im just wondering if anyone has any tips for keeping myself calm. I dont know what's wrong with me but I thought most of the time i felt nothing except for out bursts of rage from time to time, also i can have bouts of depression that can last for an hour or a few days, but after a chat with my girlfriend she told me im actually the opposite and apparently im one of the moodyest men she's ever met lol. So here's my questions

Why do i realize im emotional?

How do i identify what im feeling?

And how do i control if?

i didn't think i was that bad but i can sort of see it. Im just not sure what to do now.

robbstar, slow, deep breathing can be helpful. Just take a breath in and slowly breathe it out. And maybe a trip to the restroom to take a break.

Hope that's a start, anyway.

Everyone is emotional. Control wont work. Some thing is bothering you at work. That is why you are feeling what you feel there. You may want to consider changing jobs, if you feel you can not talk to someone about it.

In my experience of grief, for example, I spent a long time trying my best to avoid it, then control it because I was scared of how painful it might be.

In the end, I simply stopped fighting, allowed myself to feel it and was completely blown away by the fact that, as soon as I felt it, it changed. It just changed into acceptance, then other emotions flooded in but at a rate I could accept, feel and allow to heal.

It was just a case of 'feel it to heal it.'

Hope that's some help.

I am very sorry you are going through all this pain. I do not know what you were diagnosed with and I hope that you are under the auspices of a Doctor.
The inability to cope with emotions sometimes falls under the umbrella of "BPD" but I would not like to be that presumptuous. If you have not seen a Doctor, may I suggest that you seek the necessary help you so sorely need. Please hang in there
