Ok, this is certainly something I don't remember doing before, this is kind of a recent development.... but I'm talking to myself a lot more and whispering expletives and stuff, I can't seem to control it, I sort of do it to break my train of thought, when my thoughts go bad. I make weird faces too, or do something random and spontaneous like kicking an inanimate object to put me off my thoughts... I do it only when I'm out, not a home.

My friend said I'm really acting weird, and I'm glad he did, because I didn't realize this until he told me.

Hmm, that does sound weird. Are you seeing a therapist?

I do, on and off. unfortunately. I don't do it at home, just when I'm out. I'm trying to find productive ways to express my frustration (if it's actually what it is)

Hello brokenentity

Doing things to distract myself can sometimes help me to cope with negative and anxious thoughts and feelings. So maybe it's not so weird what you are doing? Many people use distraction techniques. I've heard of people wearing rubber bands around their wrists and snapping them to break a train of thought for example. Mindfulness and focus on deep breathing is sometimes helpful to me. Good Luck!

Well, it does work a little, every time I do something random, my mind goes blank for a second, and then "Where was I?", so it does help. I wish I had productive ways though.
