These day I'm so angry. One minute I'm fine and then snap I just get so angry and irritated. Usually in the morning I'm fine. I take my meds, drink my coffee and go to work. By the afternoon it all changes. Migraines anger an irritablilty. It's like in the morning I'm one person but in the afternnon someone else takes over. It's a big shift of me.
Like yesterday the morning was fine. My wife and I were having a good day. Noon came an it was like a switch. I was just laying on the couch with the cat and joked he and I would take a nap. Wife says I didn't need to nap since I slept in to 730. I got so angry I had to leave the room. I had a whole angry conversation with myself. I was pissed. I've also very much wanted to SI lately. I've restrained it but it's unrelenting. I just don't kno. I'm not hangry, I eat yogurt and granola and cereal when hungry in morning or early afternoon. I just snap.

Interesting you mention food. Perhaps a higher-protein breakfast would help you with what appear to be mood swings.
Irritability - often something is bugging me and I am not aware of it until I get triggered and react. Certainly there are various solutions to that. Mine is meditation.

Were you irritable before the medications? Do they help you? Maybe they offer them in an extended release version...

I was extremely irritable before medications. I do have the extended release Wellbutrin. It's probably the reduction of the lexapro. Pdoc is taking me off it which is good and bad. Good cuz supposedly it'll help with my fatigue. Bad because it was for my anxiety and now it's coming back. Guess it's a trade off, be tired all te time or be anxious. Neither is a good option for me.

Yeah, I'm bipolar and exhibit irritability when in a mixed state, but sometimes it can come out of nowhere, but I haven't been able to narrow it down to the time of day. It sounds like it could have something to do with your medication. Maybe the doctor can suggest something else besides the lexapro that would help the irritability and fatigue.

Too much coffee could be contributing to the irritability. Also, is there stuff going on at work that is pissing you off?

I've cut down a lot on my caffeine intake over the last 7yrs. I don't drink soda any more, no alcohol, no smoking, I cut back on coffee the last few yrs to only a cup in the morning. I don't drink any caffeine after noon, just water.
I don't know it's just I get very touchy in the afternoon where the slightest thing that I can be upset about just explodes and goes from something minor to a major thing. My wife using the last of my printer color ink because she didn't print in just black. Minor thing, me so pissed off. I just don't know. I see Pdoc in like 2 weeks, T thinks I should call and get an earlier appt. me if I don't make an appt as I'm leaving I will not call and make an appt ever. I don't even do follow ups with drs unless they tell me to make an appt before I leave. It's just something I don't do. I hate making appts over phones and I will not go out of my way for appts. I guess I don't care enough about myself to stay up on it, that and I hate drs always have and probably always will.
