Early childhood judgements by your parents can cause those feelings.
Thanks for this!

My anxiety can sometimes cause me to feel guilty over things that I shouldn't.

Time and the determination to heal through therapy is the only answer. There is no quick fix.

I think its what your eating and not.

Also I think its in our blood to feel it. We are humans/animals. We had stress when we were hunters in short moments (when we had to run away from a lion or hunting a mammoth)

Now we don't have any of that in our life, our mind needs it to feel like its doing its job. Its normal I believe. When you are feeling that way, you will be amazed at going out for a run, bike ride, work out with weights, your mood will change.

But just put those feelings to use.

Agree, l would blame parents if person is full of guilt or shame.
My parents told me everything wrong in their lives was my fault 'if it wasnt for YOU we'd be OK, its you that causes all the trouble in this house' They say.
I was five.
Used as a scapegoat, as someone they could dump all their s##t on. I felt embarrassed to exist I wanted to disappear. I truly believed, if l dissapeared the world would be a better place.

What makes me thinking of is that Detour says that there is no reason for feeling the guilt (s)he is feeling.
Guilty is a so paralyzing feeling.

Why are you afraid of asking him? Have you got social anxiety or something similar as that you feel you don't deserve his friendship?

So your feelings of guilty and hopeless are for a reason. I didn't understand it.
Avoiding things is worse but look at who is telling you it. I avoid everyone and everything for all my life.

Do you think you could need a professional help? I mean, do these kind of situations and feelings often stop you doing things?

I can't tell you what you should do. What do you want to do? And what you are ready to do? This is the question. Pushes are not good. Noone can push you. You are the most right person to decide about your life.

So, you are seeing a consellor. What does (s)he says? Normally, the doctor who prescribed you the meds should have told you what kind of anxiety you have. This or by going to therapy. The terapist can also tell you.

In that case, I don't think the meds are the responsible for your feelings.
I'm not sure, but I think these feelings are due to fustration. When you want to get something but you don't feel you are able to do it, it's fustrating and you feel guilty for not being able to do what others do so easily and so naturally.

I can't tell you what to do.
For now, try to calm you down.
you could need to talk with the counsellor about the topic. Have you got confidence with him/her?

Are you feeling very overwhelmed this night? I don't know if where you live is day or night?

If you trust her you could tell you about your fears.
I could tell you. Ask this guy to hang out but it's you the one who has to do the step or your counsellor. Both know how your situation is.
How do you think you would feel if the guy would give you a no?

So, don't ask him directly. Arise the topic about the summer and ask him what he is gonna do, tell him about you, what would you like doing...perhaps, you have in one of these conversationsthe chance to ask him for doing something when the course finishes.
