Jealousy

I have no right to feel this way and I don't even understand why I do. My ex boyfriend got married years after we broke up and lost touch, and years after I did. Since I learned that he married an Indian woman, now every time I see one I think of them and get jealous.

I wonder what made him love her and not me.

I feel so dumb for thinking about him at all, but I'm never going to stop.

I think this is the strangest OCD. Any ideas for de programming my brain?

I understand. My sons dad who was my 1st love and only love is in a relationship and is very happy. We broke up in 2006. I dont understand why it makes me sad. I am no longer in love with him. I guess in a way I will always love him and that is why I feel some jealousy towards him being in a relationship.

Not picking you over her doesn't mean she is better than you. You are as valuable without him, may be even more valuable. This isn't a healthy way of thinking to compare yourself with others. Everyone is unique. I suggest to forget the past (including not knowing anything related to it if it isn't helpful to you) and focus on the future.

The reason here might not be Jealousy or you were not perfect for him. I guess, it is just that he can't accept you or the feelings were not the same. Don't worry, there will come a time that you will find someone else even better than your ex. someone who will really love you and accepts you for what you are.

Well I understand. My ex-husband is on the surface living a fabulously happy life with his fiance. If I have any jealousy though it is over the life they are living (he didn't want to do anything or spend money when we were together). I did for a time question my own self worth. Perhaps she is a great person. But then I ask myself would I really want him back?
