Recently, I've discovered that I am very weak. When I make mistakes and fall, I don't stand up and keep going quickly. When criticized or faced with a setback or negativity I don't know how to defend myself, and instead I fall in a state of depression and self-pity and resentment. I don't have the resilience necessary to be a normal person with friends and connections, since it is inevitable to be hurt by others in this imperfect world. My social isolation is my shell for my fragile self, because I am crushed easily.

I don't think that you're weak. I think society's standards of strength are warped.
Just because you aren't wired like everybody else doesn't make you a weakling or failure. It simply means you aren't wired to be just another measly sheep in society. So what if you can't be a "normal" person who works 40 hours a week at some dead end job, connect to other people doing the same repetitive grind, or have the so called "resilience" to deal with other people's criticism which is a tool the so called "authority figures" that I refer as overseers use to make modern day "slaves" submit to their will. If anybody is weak, it's the "normies" as I call them who submit to such a lifestyle and act like they're fine when they are the ones who are true sufferers of mental illness rather than us. They are the ones content on being ordered around their whole life like a bunch of slaves, letting the mainstream media's propaganda dictate what they buy, how they think, or what they do, give in to materialism by letting the media and the big corporations tell them that buying a bunch of material crap would bring them happiness, and follow the herd rather than follow their own passions. That is why I refer to the masses as "sheeple". They are weak and ill. You are not. If anything, people like us are more evolved than the so called "masses". |

Be careful of falling into the trap of being angry at everyone because the truth is that a lot of people struggle in their own ways. Hating all others is embracing ones own isolation when in reality not all people "just" follow like sheep.

Ever since my long mania followed by a long depression I haven't been able to get over this same slump. I am borderline being a shut in, I don't know what to do either. I wish I could gain back my social skills and not be afraid to leave the house. I sympathize with you. Pm me if you ever want to talk

Quote:
I hate society as a whole and societal constructs in general because I find them oppressive and I am a self proclaimed anarchist but there are many people that I like. My judgement still stands though. Many people are sheeple even though that number is getting less and less as more people finally start waking up to the truth. Don't be a sheeple. Be a shepherd. |

I know you did not say you hate everyone, my warning was to be careful not to fall into that mental trap, including hating self. Sometimes we can without realizing it talk ourselves into feeling things that are not helpful at all. I know that because I have been in some bad places myself, very confused and emotionally overwhelmed and all my boundaries were invaded. Sometimes even the ones we need to be there for us let us down too, so it's important to keep reaching out because we cannot also let ourselves down.
