Hmm.. Ok, so I have anxiety issues, depression sometimes, been diagnosed with Bi polar disorder, and lately have been under some major stress from relocating and working .. so I have been overeating and have had some stomach problems (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) which has given me stabbing pains in my stomach. So I am working with my EAP to find a counselor, I have been going to therapy for a few years and know that its URGENT for me to see someone ASAP, before it starts affecting me even worse. I am on medication - Lamictal which is a mood stabilizer, Trazadone for sleep at night, and Seroquel mood stabilizer too, so I just kinda need some advice on what to do, I'm gonna start exercising, and getting massages, so I dunno .. I just need serious help, thanks alot for listening.. Oh yeah and I go to NA meetings 5 times a week, I had a bad addiction and went to a treatment center and got clean, have relapsed .. but currently clean .. so I dunno, I'm just trying to establish a personal relationship with God that will help me out a bit .. but DAMN.

Hi Shanna,

It sounds like you have a lot going on. Especially with relocating and working. Working with a counselor is great and being on your meds is important. Body work such as massages helps too. Exercising is another great way to relieve stress and help boost mood. So you're well on your way to a healthy lifestyle. Make sure that when you're in therapy you're sharing about your underlying issues and really getting at what is driving the anxiety and depression. That will help. Share too when you go to your NA meetings, be sure to speak up and voice any issues you're having or temptations etcetera. You're doing a great job! Well done.

Welcome to PC by the way.

Love and Hugs,
Tara
