I havent started a thread for quite a while since I have been feeling quite good for a few months. For the past week I have been waking up anxious just like before and if I stop to think, I sort of feel like I did back when I was in a deep depression. All week I have managed to go to work and do the things I have to and I felt cheerful but if I stop and think, it all goes weird!
I just had the best Xmas I have had in a very long time, I am getting back with my boyfriend of 14 years and everything is going smoothly, at work, with my kids....I am getting scared or paranoid....I really dont want to go back there... |

It can, hon, especially if you have kind of a cyclical pattern where it comes and goes. have you checked with your p-doc? Huggs

This happens to me too. My T calls it a type of reactive depression where you start feeling better, something good happens in our lives (Your good Holidays), and then it's like a re-bound...we drop. Supposedly it has something to do with our subconscious and not feeling like we are worthy of good things.
It should start to come back up here in a few days. My suggestion is to give your daily routine a boost. For the next week or so, change things up. Maybe add a ten minute walk to your day, or add some time just for you to listen to music or work a puzzle. These little things can help to keep the lows from getting to low until it balances out. Keep talking with us to...cause you know no body luvs ya like us Monkies!! ![]()

If you have recurrent episodes of paranoid thinking & feeling like I do, it does tend to come back again and again. If I'm off my meds or under too much stress, the paranoia kicks in. Maybe just cutting back on some of your activities or delegating some of your responsibilities will help. I hope things keep going well for you.

Can't stop you from praying and blessing me, and if that makes you feel better feel free. ![]() But keep it to yourself please, don't tell me. And let's all respect each other's feelings. With kindness, support and "sweet dreamings." ![]() |

In my experience it can come back even after a long period of level.
I would second and third the advice already give here. It is important when the depression tempts you again to kick the self care up a few notches. Taking extra time for relaxation and meditation works well for me. Acknowledging what is happening and rather than feeding it with worry I think it is important to muster the extra strength to give myself a break and give myself some quality care and lovin'. wishing you peace and wellness. and hey congrats on all the wonderful good gifts in your life. awesome!! |

Good morning Idontknow13... hope you are feeling better today.
Congrats on all the blessings that have come into your life. There are no doubt many more yet to come as you find your way back to level again. Wishing you well. Last edited by sanityseeker; Jan 10, 2010 at 04:44 PM. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() How are you feeling today? Maybe it's a little bit of the winter blues setting in? The weeks following Christmas are always especially hard for me. It's so depressing taking down all the decorations and knowing that the winter is going to go on for a few more months!!! I hope you feel better soon. Be gentle and kind with yourself. ![]()

Today is not a good day, thinking too much, worrying too much, scared that It will come back, been on here a lot today just like I used to be, makes me realize I have come a long way but also makes me realize it is much easier to slide back down than to climb up!
I will try the suggestions you so kindly gave, I have to do something...Definetely winter is getting to me, I tend to hibernate, I need to get physically active. I can see myself falling into the same pattern, thinking that work will solve everything, isolating. But I know I do not want to go back there ![]() Maybe the last few days are just a warning, for me not to become complacent, with my T last week, I was telling her I did not feel I needed to meet with her more than once a month (for 9 mths. it has been once/week) I am also worried my meds have stopped working just like what happened last year! I also suffer from insomnia which makes it hard to function at 100% during the day. I will be here a lot since it helped me out a lot in the past year, not that I stopped coming, I was still coming here each day and trying to give back what was given to me so freely and kindly. I will survive! |
