I'm feeling extremely sad today and am hoping that sharing that might snap me out of it a bit. People who have read my thread in anxiety know that I've been dealing with a lot of big stressors lately and while I'm not in a panic anymore, I just feel so depressed. Basically, it seems like life is an endless, pleasureless grind and the only experience we can expect is constant suffering; like there's nothing to hope for and no point to any of it.

And yet I continue to go through the grind of life.

It's just very sad.

Hi Cyran0,

I'm sorry that you are feeling extremely sad today, I know it does help to get those feelings out even if just my posting them. I'm new to the forums so I have not had the chance to read up on your situation but I do understand how big stresses can have an effect on our depression. Though I have felt like you many times before with the feelings of life being an endless, pleasure less grind, we must keep fighting it as there are better days to come and many more doors to open with beautiful colors to see. While in our states of depression it clouds our thoughts of the pleasures that are out there yet for us to find but those pleasures and better days are out there. I'm glad that you continue on as things do get better.

((Cyran0)) - sorry you're feeling depressed. I can relate to what you're saying. I have my girls and they keep me going, but some days it does feel monotonous sometimes. It might help if you have a hobby or try to learn some new that you've never tried before something to get the passions stirring again. I hope you feel better soon.

I cannot offer any advice as I am in the same boat as you...but I just wanted you to know that you are not alone. You are in my thoughts.

What one thing could you do today which would make your life better? It does not have to be anything heroic. Just something to get your feet and mind going for a bit.

Good luck.

we all feel sad sometimes Cyrano...well...almost all of us . There are a few odd people that dont seem to get sad no matter what. I"m sorry that you feel that life has lost meaning/pleasure for you. Sometimes all it takes is for us to become more self-aware of what makes us happy and what doesnt in order to "snap out of it", sometimes it takes meds...

It's not easy Cyrano and I will not tell you it is. It's a constant struggle for me to try and understand how I work emotionally. *hug* but it's worth it in the end if you put the time into it.

That feeling sucks but alot of us think about that very often. Its so hard to live at all. So living a happy life is even harder. I still dont think i fully understand why it has to be that way. Why is it sooo hard? The only thing you can do is keep moving forward......the other thing just isnt an option.... Happiness does not come easily for people like us and its sad thinking about that. Im at a point in my young life where im trying to figure out how im going to go out into the world and find some source of peace and happiness. I hope its not a hopeless journey.

You are all great. Thank you for all of the supportive thoughts. It is helpful to hear that other people can relate even if it does make me sad to know that you all aren't running around filled with joy every second of every day. My mood did pick up a bit over the weekend which was awesome.

Byzantine, that's a good question. I should try to find an answer but right now, I'm not sure.

so_punk_rock, I have to believe it's not a hopeless journey. My gut feeling is that it's a very mixed bag.
