I went out last nite and ran into a guy that I had met my first summer in Norway. He's an old friend of my husbands. Really sweet guy and he used to talk to me alot when I first came here. He's more down to earth than alot of people I have met here and isn't afraid to talk about real life and feelings. I have always enjoyed talking to him but haven't talk with him the last couple years.
He told me about his new baby boy and his own mother who is really sick. He also asked questions about my marriage.

When we were saying goodbye he said (in a complete friendship way) "you are a good girl, I can look in your eyes and see that you are a good girl". It was one of the nicest things I have heard in a long time. I believe the eyes tell alot about a person. You can see so much that is being hidden. For a long time I know that I looked dead in my eyes. Real depressed and dead. I hated that. Now, I know that some of my "goodness" can still shine thru and that makes me feel really good.

Another fun note is that this guy is absolutely gorgeous and my husband has always been a little jealous that we get on so well but he was supposed to go out with me and didn't want to go so HA!!! ;O)

Silly maybe, but I just wanted to share it.

I completely agree with you about the eyes, Heidu. For a start, my husband has lovely warm brown eyes, and my father has cold pale blue, shifty eyes ... This sounds such a positive thing for you, I am so happy for you!!!!

Take care,
Fuzzy

Isn't it great when we get an affirmation like that?? Maybe I'm not completely gone yet!!! Glory in it, wrap it around you and breath it in! You deserve it!!

Heidu,

Thanks for sharing that. Maybe I'm not completely gone yet!!! Any of us could have told you you're not completely gone. You are such a great positive influence around here. We know you are a good person. I'm glad you got that affirmation from your friend too. Sometimes that is just exactly what we need.

Take Care,
Wendy

I'm so glad for you that you have received such a wonderful compliment. You deserve it. You are so kind and caring. You have a lot of wisdom to give. A person who doesn't see the lovelyness in you, is blind and it's their lost.
