I didn't go to the job today. I woke up this morning throwing up, throat sore, aching, fever. Can the mind do this to the body? My husband told me to stay home, so I did. I was so exhausted I feel back to sleep immediately.

I feel so tired right now, ashamed of myself, I am so weak. Why can't I be stronger & overcome this? So depressed, so tired of it all. Tired of trying to change, tired of fighting the fear & sadness all the time.

I called my ear, nose, & throat doctor because I do know there is an infection in my sinuses again but she's out of the office until mid-October. I am waiting for a call back from them.

I am such a failure. My mother used to tell me I was a failure all the time whenever I didn't live up to her expectations. I guess she was right.

((tangodream)) - I'm sorry you're not well. You're not a failure just because you have mental illness or physically sick. ATM you sound physically sick - how high is your fever? Try not to listen to those old tapes from your past.

I used to have many sinus infections. I start using the Neilmed Sinus Rinsing System and also use Nasonex Nasal Sray to prevent future infections. Luckily it's been 1 1/2 yrs since I've had a sinus infection. I hope you feel better soon and don't blame yourself for being sick.

Kim,

Your mother was wrong.
You are brave and strong....

Just totally wiped out from a flu and or sinus infection. (I know I feel more depressed when I get sick too). Your defenses are down.
Please keep taking care of yourself. Maybe go back to seeing yourself as that little girl and take care of her the way she was meant to be cared for.
This is not your fault.
Think of it this way.
Would anyone ever ask to feel this way? No way.
Keep pushing the fluids.
I hope you feel better soon.

I'm sorry you are sick! But this does not make you a failure!!! The main thing now is to rest so you can recuperate. I hope the ENT doc gets back to you soon. Feel better!!

LOL! I use a home-modified NielMed Neti Pot with kosher salt and baking soda.
Hmmm... Could this be the beginning of the PC Sinus Fellowship...?

Best wishes for a speedy, comfortable recovery, Tangodream
