Lost and scared because my marriage is failing due to my sickness. And feeling very down because I've pushed my husband's emotions to the point where he doesn't even find me attractive anymore. Intimate moments used to be easy, now I don't know how.

My life has changed so much since being in a 12 step program, I have changed everything around and about me.. My house, my work, my yard has FLOWERS in it, even my car is organized. I even look very different. I am grateful to no end...why won't my MDD leave me alone? My personality is much better, not isolating hardly at all, reaching out, connecting...why do I hurt now???!

I am so confused on what is going on in my mind. I don't know why my own mind is doing this to me.

Well hanners at least your trying, what more can we do. Two steps forward and one back at least means two steps taken foward and still one step forward.

Your mind is reacting to something. What could that be? What have you been doing lately? A lot may depend on your age and your current life situation. Many times we see or experience things we dont understand Brain. Many of us have moments when we feel confused. It doesn't necessarily mean a life sentence. It is not uncommon to have moments of confusion. See if you can write more, something that may be causing the confusion.

There is a good saying. Change a thought move a muscle. It does work sometimes. Sometimes when you have too much free time that may be changed by donating your time. Check out the local places that help people and see if you can donate your time. Sometimes in helping others we can feel a lot of pleasure and even happiness.

I will bet your a really nice person, you could share that you know. When nice people don't have anything to do, well they get depressed but if they share the nice they have, they become happier people and even feel rewarded.

This made me feel better. Hopefully it can help someone else too:

"And when the night is cloudy, there is still a light, that shines on me,
shine until tomorrow, let it be.
I wake up to the sound of music, mother Mary comes to me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be."

Let it Be, The Beatles

I keep wishing I were someone else.
No one in particular, just a completely different person than the one I am.
This is not good.

Well, your not alone in that feeling NYNJ, many people wish they were someone else.
The truth is that we can be someone else, if we are willing to make changes in ourselves. Many times we think that we just have to own whatever it is that is wrong or how we just accept the things about ourselves that we feel we cannot change.

Hey, I do it myself, we all have a tendancy to do it. Im trying to figure it out myself these days, have a lot on my plate and find myself asking the same question as you.
Actually I just would like to figure out how to stop others from trying to change what it is that I have or had.

I can certainly understand why some people don't even want to be around others that make demands on them or find a way to critisize them in some way. Im trying,
it isn't easy. But at least Im trying.

Keeping it together. Taking care of myself. I still wouldn't mind if he called though.

Working through some self-directed anger right now, the textbook definition of depression. Trying to show some compassion for the withdrawn 13-year-old inside.

Why can't I wrap my mind around what I am feeling and why I am feeling this way?

Feel like I can only be either meek or overbearing, never on the same level as everyone else. Feel like I can either submit and cave in or crush the opposition, almost like I see myself in a constant state of war.
