Depression is when you finally figured out what you really want to say, then you finally get infront of the person you need to say it to, and you completely forget what it was. Ugh,

Depression is when you finally get up off your dupa to vacum the rug you've been trying to get to forever, you walk around and for the life of you, you can't find the vacuum. Ugh,

Depression is standing in line for 30 minute with a cart full of groceries only to have the checkout gal say, "Next aisle over, please.", and you stand in line AGAIN.

Depression is seeing other people going places, doing things and appear to be having a great time, while I don't go places or don't do things and appear miserable. You spend all your time wishing----wishing that you could do some of the simplest things and actually enjoy them. Your heart wants to live and discover, but your mind shuts it down every time.

Depression is growing older, finding things rather dull and dark and without any gold spray paint to make them the golden years.

Depression is being lost in a forest on a cloudy day and your compass does not work.

Depression in like trying to drive your own race car in the "Indiannapolis 500" without a steering wheel. You speed up on the straightaways, and you can't turn the sharp corners.

Depression is questioning your entire life so far and the use of continuing with it.

Depression is dealing alone with the monsters we create in our crises, because rarely someone wants to handle them together with us.

Depression is when we abandon ourselves and the loneliness gets unbearable.

Depression is not endure the pain and just want to kill it.

Depression is walking backwards with your eyes blindfolded and your hands bound, thinking you are going forward.

Depression is being out-of-balance on the "tight rope" called LIFE that seems to be stretched across the sea of humanity.
Thanks for this!

Depression to me is hurting inside so much that you want to end your own life even though you know how much it will hurt the people you care for most.

Depression is something that is so hard for you to understand that it can break your mind in a way that allows you to no longer see life in a normal way, you can actually see yourself moving through life from outside your body.
Thanks for this!

Depression is like trying to put a puzzle together that has pieces missing. You will never see the whole picture no matter how hard you try.

Depression is not giving up on yourself when you sure as h*ll want to.

Depression is looking for something you can't find with your eyes and all the while you are holding it in your hand.

Depression is getting to the cashier at the market only to discover ... after your purchase is rung up ... that your billfold is at home in the other purse.

Depression is locking yourself out of your car twice in one day in less than an hour, and having the same patrolman assist you.
Thanks for this!

For those who are wondering ... this actually happened to me when my mother-in-law came for her very first visit. I needed butter at the store, got it, came out ... the keys were locked in. Police to the resque!! Drove to the Post Office 6 blocks away, mailed the bills, came out ... the keys were locked in.

Yeah, yeah, yeah ... the same officer assisted me. Told him he wouldn't see me again 'cuz I was going home. Of course M-in-L was there UGH!!! So much for first impressions, but the meal went well ... chicken and dumplings.
