Hi all I hope your all doing ok today.
If anyone's every read my posts you will know I've suffered depression for around 20yrs now and am awaiting a possible bipolar diagnosis pending psych looking over mood diary and ever changing cycles.
The problem I've been having is seeing and hearing things that aren't there, initially this was only happening when I was at my lowest or really anxious but now its constant. I'm not afraid as the things I hear and see are nothing to worry about,I'm just curious to know if anyone else has experienced similar things? I've also posted this in bipolar thread to gather as many replies as I can.
As always any reply is gratefully received
Take care
JK

I'm not sure I'll be much help since I'm not sure my diagnosis would be accurate any more. I was diagnosed with depression about 9 or 10 years ago. But looking over my journals (when I actually do manage to keep up with them) I'm sure there's something else "there".
I don't know what kind of things you're seeing and hearing, so I can't say I'm going through the "exact" same thing. But for the past 1-2 years, I have gone through something like it.
When it comes to seeing this, I'll mostly see random lights out of the corner of my eye. In the beginning, I didn't realize they weren't there but when I pointed them out to someone else (I was seeing these in the middle of the night sometimes, mind you), no one else had seen them. As far as hearing things goes, that happens just as often for me. It will often be random sounds that I hear very distinctly - once again, that no one else does. But will sometimes be distinct voices, too. These, I've always been aware aren't there and so, they've always gave me a start.
Don't be afraid to mention all this to your doc if you haven't already. I wish you the best.

I suffer from the same thing. I hear stuff when I'm depressed mostly at my lowest times but sometimes when I'm pefectly fine. My T calls it Psychotic major depression or depression with psychosis. It's not very common but it does happen and this is where you experiance psychotic behaviors (i.e. hearing voices, seeing things). Hope this helped and if you wanna talk more about it just message me.
