I don't know what to do, I feel like Im slipping agian. By slipping i mean spending my days in bed sleeping and not wanting to do anything... I have an apointment with my counselor next week, my psyc just upped my meds, but I don't seem to be doing any better. I don't know what I should do. I have missed 2 days of work now and can't afford to be missing work, that tends to make things more stressful and worse.
I just don't know what to do. It has been almost 2years since i slipped this bad, it actually caused me to loose my job, i can't afford to loose my job.

I simply don't know what to do.

I'm sorry that you are feeling so low. I hope that you can hang in there until you can talk to your counsellor about this...I'm sure he/she will know best, regarding how you should go about addressing these issues. Until then, I hope you will continue posting here whenever you feel the need to be heard.
Thanks for this!

1Dar. I feel like I'm right there with you. Go easy on yourself right now.

Hi.

I know what you mean with slipping.

Maybe it's hard, but you should try to stick to your regular pattern/schedule each day. If you start to sleep more, your sleeping pattern might shift and that'll make you feel bad at work when you are exhausted.

Doing some low intensity exercise, or just taking a walk in a park can help a bit.

But I think the best thing you can do is talk to people. You don't necessarily have to talk about your problems, but if you can find people you trust that's fine. But just being around people and having a friendly chat keep lift your spirits. That's what works best for me when I feel depressed.

Hi.

I can relate to slipping.

I'm starting to slip myself, even though it's for other reasons. I was able to sit down and talk to friends and figure out what my trigger might be that caused it this time. Luckily I was able to also talk to the person that caused my set back. Things won't just snap back to "normal" it takes time, just remember that your friends and everyone here can help and listen to whatever you, or anyone else for that matter, needs to say.

I know I'm still new here but I've been through depression before where I almost didn't make it out ok.
Thanks for this!

What I am doing to fight back and get out of bed. I too have a big problem starting my day. So I see my psych Monday thru Friday every morning. It is my only goal at this time. Now that I have gotten dressed and out of bed I can start my day much easier. The fight to get out of bed isn't as hard for me when I know who I am going to see, I also know he understands. I do not have to pay for this as the time is like a minute or two. Just a thought.
