(((hugs))) feeling overwhelmed is one thing, useless is another. Feeling stupid in one thing, far out is another. Overwhelmed and far out are sensations that happen. Useless and stupid are words you are using that don't fit in here.. or anywhere, imo!

I'm sorry you feel you are slipping down deeper. Try and be "ok" with it, as it seems, to me, for me at times, that depression is like quicksand, the more you struggle against it, the more it grips you.

Try and distract yourself. It's ok to do that, it isn't denying your not well, it's giving your brain a break so it can better tackle the depression, imo.

Try not to think of "the rest of your life" but take today, tonight...get through tonight, you can do that, yes? Me too. TC! (((more hugs)))

You are not stupid though. And the way you feel does not mean you are stupid. Just having a hard time... There are times when we all feel we've lost grip on (our) life, or the situations and events taking place. But one needs to regain control. Don't think about tomorrow and/or the rest of your life being the same. It does not have to be. Take care of yourself today. Struggle for the day. It does not mean you have to win the battle. What was that saying: you can lose a battle but win the war? Take one step at a time. Although it might be frustrating. But still one is never stupid for feeling whatever they feel.
