In the endless rant I was subjected to last night that was supposed to pass as a discussion, my sister veered off into the "nobody's life is perfect/we all have problems" area. For some reason, she decided to tell me NOW that my nephew tried to kill himself a year ago my nephew. They took him to the ER, and when my BIL dropped them off and went to park the car, Joe ran. They had cops out looking for him, etc.

He seems a lot better now, but still. She said she didn't tell me when it happened because "I didn't want to add to the burden you were already carrying." Right, so I don't have one NOW? Did I really need to know this? And how can you compare one of your children attempting to one of your siblings being a victim of csa? Yeah, everybody has problems, but she didn't really give me fair credit for WHY I have mine, or what I've done to alleviate them.

I'm a worrywart as it is, and now, forevermore, I'm going to be worried about Joe, and worried that this crap is inheritable and will happen to my own son. It's not like either Joe or my son has had a crummy childhood, like my sister and I did. Neither of them has lacked for material goods or love. And yet he could go and attempt? It's not very confidence-inspiring.

my nephew my nephew just having a really crappy life right now my nephew

((((((((((((((candy)))))))))))))))))))

there is so much going on in your life right now with yourself and those you care about. i know how it is to have a huge stressor/trauma and then the thoughts to splinter off into the "what ifs". i did that when my daughter was in the hosp. with the brain incident. it was those thoughts, combined with the other that made me feel like i was gonna "go down".

t had to remind me, even though very hard, to deal with the "what is", because right now for you that's more than a plate full. i know it's very hard to do, but can you try to direct thoughts back to what is?

personally, i couldn't do that very well, but did some. my nephew it more had to "wear off". i hope you do better than i did. what i was able to do helped a bit, and i could see it helping really well had i started with it when it first started maybe. it's such a struggle.

you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

much love,

KD

(((((((((candybear)))))))))))) why does it always seem that our relatives are the absolute worst people for us to be around. It saddens my heart to hear how cruel she had been to you. As one worry wort to another I understand, as last night I just had strange news about two of my nieces but incomplete as she didn't want to talk about in on Yahoo!!!! So now I guess I can just wait to hear from her and get my imagination under control, though for some reason I don't think she is going to alleviate that at all.... sheeeeesh if you need an ear or a shoulder give a holler, Linda
