dad and nephew

this all happened yesterday.

my dad had a scope done this morning on his bladder and they think it is cancer but won't know til biopsy next week.
My nephew was working this morning and had 7000 volts of electricity hit him. he is losing a thumb and index finger and possibly his entire hand. they don't yet know the extent of internal injuries and can not give him any fluids until they find out. please please keep us in your prayers. I wish I could wake up and start this day over.

If anyone in the houston area saw this on the news or saw it in the paper would you please let me know. We are very worried about my nephew. they are still not sure of the injuries since in electrocution it can take a couple of days to know everything it affected.

thanks everyone. dad will have his biopsy on the 31st. I feel so bad for him. he has to go pee about every 10 minutes and is wearing diapers to go out. his bday is the 21st.

my nephew well they are saying now if they are able to save the hand they will take off his big toe and transplant it onto his hand to use as a thumb. he is burned on a good portion of his body but thank goodness my brother says it is like a bad sunburn. I can't get to him. no money to get there. *sigh* please keep us in your prayers and thoughts.

im so sorry all of this has happened to you and your family. your nephew is lucky to be alive by the sound of it! 7000 volts! wow. it would be fantastic if the doctors could 'replace' his thumb like that to give him more dexterity. its really amazing the things they can do. i am sending positive thoughts his way as well as for your dad with his biopsy. that must be very scary for you. please do try to be kind and gentle to yourself through this. i will keep you in my thoughts.

So many things are going on in your life right now. You are in my prayers along with your Dad you nephew.

It is very scary having a biopsy looming in the future, not knowing what will show up. My prayers are that it isn't cancer. It is so hard to have our parents go through things like this. We are so helpless to make it ok....(sounds like what they go through when we are children).

That sounded like a horrible thing your nephew went through. I hope it all turns out ok for him. That is hard when they don't know the extent of internal damage for that long. I pray that they can heal up the damage & nothing major will show up.

thank you to everyone that responded and prayed. I have some good news though! my nephew's thumb is growing new skin and very possible he will not lose it!!!!!!!!!!!! My brother said it is a true miracle! all I can say is Praise God! still keep us in your thoughts and prayers. as they say "it ain't over til the fat lady sings" and I haven't sung yet lol. things are looking much better though and right now I am on cloud 9 about my nephew!

his kidneys lost a little function on friday nite but by saturday they were back to full function.

the drs are calling him a miracle!!! woo hoo!!

tomi unfortunately neither of us will be singing anytime soon. things have gone south for my nephew today. can't even type about it right now. will post a little later. I am so sad right now.
