I am feeling really low right now.. I have only slept 3 hours in total in three days cos I was hyper and I just couldn't settle, but now my mood crashed and I just cant cope, I am feeling overwhelmed by my emotions and I cannot cope with them

it sounds like you need to get some help, especially if you cant keep yourself safe. you need mood stabilization. do you have a pdoc you are working with? do you have friends you can be with that can keep you safe for the rest of the night until you can see a dr.? going to an emergency room would be your best course of action. getting some sleep would be the next best choice. you need to take steps to keep yourself safe and take care of yourself at the same time. that means eat and sleep. take care and keep safe.

I don't have any friends that I can go too and my boyfriend is asleep in bed.. I wish I could just sleep to keep myself safe but I can't settle.. If things get worst I go to the hospital.. Yea I have a worker but don't see her till next Tuesday so have to hold on till then..

can you wake your boyfriend up and tell him you need help, ask him to be with you? take care of you, talk with you. help keep your mind off things. can you make yourself some caffienefree tea to help you relax. close your eyes and focus on your breathing and imagine a safe place to go to?

Yea I could wake him up, just hope he doesn't get mad at me for waking him up.. I will though cos I feel unsafe.. I will try to sleep, if he awake then I fall asleep at least I am safe.. Concentrate on my breathing and focusing on good things I will try that..

Can you let us know that you're safe, Porcelain? This sounds like the best idea to me too, waking your boyfriend up. I often can't find anything good to focus on or calm myself down - so if that's how it is for you and you have a person nearby, use them! Call your dr. in the morning please to ask him / her for help thru this rough patch. I'm not sure what you do with all those awake hours, I know how painful that is, happens for me too. Can you zone out watching a movie sometimes to distract? Ok, let us know how you are.

Hi again, forgot to say it might be soothing just to talk w/ someone. Maybe joining a chat here on Psych Forum. Or, for me, it's a little soothing sometimes to hear someone's voice and I've called the "warm line" (whatever crisis line is in your area) or another one that I find nice is the people at thehopeline.com They have both live and virtual chat, one-on-one. Just talking (or crying) thru it cab give some relief.

When I can't settle I watch TV, but it's better if you can talk to someone--anyone.

Really sorry if I worried you or anyone.. I was admitted to hospital for a few days and now feeling calmer and less suicidal.. Yea my boyfriend has been amazing.. Really supportive ![]() Claire

Hi I've been were your at.
Consider & very seriously at that checking into the E.R. to voluntarily get a stay at the hospital. You could get Medicaid if you have no insurance. Go to a good hospital were you'll get the best treatment, the best food most important the medical team can take your blood to see whats up then prescribe something for you. Go to google to find the best inpatient hospital hopefully near your the get yourself there pronto please. You might qualify for Medicaid , make sure you talk with a social worker about that. and ask for a particular hospital so they won't send you to some awful one. Tell him you lost your insurance through your job , give the social worker a real sob story. In this way you'll get taken care of and be safe. I hope this helps you.
