Hi woods...sounds to me like you need to talk to someone...have you ever gone to a therapist? I know you are young...but sometimes it helps quite a bit...!!!

If you haven't tried talking to your parents already, you may want to write them a letter. There should be a school counselor you can talk to as well. GET HELP NOW! You are young but seem to be pretty intelligent....talk to your school counselor about how you are feeling and why. OH! To be 16 again!!! Tough time I know....but you have so much to look forward to in life.

(cappuccinogirl65)- you see i cant tell my parents, my mom always tells me not to end up like my brother..she tells me how its very hard on her, so i cant let her know how i feel. she's already got alot going on in her life. i dont know if she can handle it. and then the thought about my parents knowing. well actually its not even my parents, my step dad (who i hate) and my mom. theyd be Psychotic about the whole thing.
ive seen the school couselors and, id rathe not go to them. its just women who help people make schedule changes and help kids who are out of place (skipping class and what not) i dont think i want my school to know ethier, they'd have a frenzy and tell all of my teachers. but you know what thanx, you seem pretty possitive....i just dont know how possitive i am about that.

hi woods, sorry to hear you are low.

you dont have to pay for councilling/therapy at your age. i began councilling at the age of 16 and i am still going now, i am 19. i dont pay for it, it is a government funded thing. i am sure they are the same where you are, you just need to look into it. maybe try talking to your doctor, see what he/she thinks. there is the help out there for you.

parents sometimes dont understand the troubles we go through. they care about us so much that they refuse to believe we arent happy. they like to think everything is ok and try to convince themselves and us (their children) that things are ok. you do need to make them aware of how you feel. i dont know what the situation is with your brother but you are different to him im sure, so dont think you are just because your parents say so. you need help through this, and sometimes we cant get it from our parents, my dads the same. but we have to look elsewhere and it is there if we look hard enough.

in the meantime, if you need a shoulder to cry on or you just need a chat, i am here for you ok. we here at PC can help you through this and help you emerge a stronger, happier person.

and dont worry about school. your mental health is far more important than an education. an education can be "topped up" later on in life when needed, mental health cant.

take care of yourself.

You may feel like you are too young to talk to someone .. but truthfully, i dont think there is a set age limit. I started talking to someone when i was 17 and it really helped. I also did it through my school, and as simon said you dont have to pay for it. and if it is any sory of consolation, my parents didn't know about it ... you dont have to tell them if you dont want to, and there are confidentiality rules so there is a good chance that they need not ever find out if you dont want them to. Just a thought ..
