So today I have an appointment to see my new pdoc (meds doctor).

This is my fourth doctor
- the 1st kinda dumped me after he had me locked up and there was a broken trust issue
- the 2nd moved 100 miles away
- the 3rd was only a physicians assistant - which I viewed as unqualified

So now I have to start all over (again). STRESS

Add to that I have been having a ton of anxiety (panic attacks), suicidal ideation (?sp) and my head kinda feels like I am going to snap (just go into a fetal position and rock back and forth for the next 30 years)....

how the hell am I supposed to answer the "do you need to be inpatient" question?

- side note - my youngest daughter has her last basketball game late tonight and we have company coming to stay with us for the next 10 days tomorrow...........

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRG

Good luck with the new pdoc. I know how starting over with a new one can be stressful.

In terms of inpatient, do you have a fear of actually ACTING on your suicidal ideation? If so, I'd go inpatient. If not, keep up with therapy and hope that the new pdoc has a successful med combination for you. That's kind of the point where I'm at.

Also, sounds like having company for 10 days would be stressful too. Hope all goes well on that front.

I understand your nervousness about seeing a new doctor. It happens to me, too. Yes, you have to tell them what's going on, but time is always limited, so where do you start. I would guess with present symptoms. Answer the questions honestly. Your safety is most important here. If you need to be inpatient to stay safe then that's what you need to do. Things happen, plans change. I'm sure your daughter will understand and your company will just have to deal with your not being there. Do what's best for you.
