Hi. I'm having a really bad time tonight so i thought i'd post about it. I hope you don't mind.

Basically my day was going fine, until i triggered myself. I don't do it on purpose, well i do but subconciously if you see what i mean. For instance, i know certain aspects of the news can trigger me, therefore i refrain from reading newspapers or watching it on tv. But sometimes i just wonder on to news websites and trigger myself accidentally.

I don't understand why news triggers me, it has nothing (as far as i can tell) to do with the causes of my depression. I think i should go to see a counsellor, maybe they can help me better understand.

It's getting stupid now, more and more things are triggering me, i lock myself away in my bedroom if i am not at work to 'protect' myself from getting triggered. but then i get triggered from the internet.

Anyways, thanks for listening.

Hi (((((((((Sammy))))))))))))

Is there someone you can talk to, or someone that could maybe work with you to slowly desensitize to some of the triggers? Or work through them?

The news can sometimes trigger me, so I've resorted to not watching it on TV - it's the images and sounds that bother me, but I can look at it another way when I read about it online.

Take care of yourself.

{{{{{{{{{{{Sammi}}}}}}}}}}}} I haven't watched the news for at least 15 years, and I know how dumb I sound sometimes when there is a war somewhere and I have no idea.
The are one of my biggest triggers, I can't deal with them, so don't feel bad, and also, like you, have no idea why they are so bad for me.
Hang in there hon, pm me anytime~
