Wow,
Maybe its the moon cycle but it just seems like everyone is having a hard time with things lately. I am no exception. I have been so stressed lately which is making me sick and giving me migraines.
Now I read the "new" report about how prozac and lots of other meds can increase suicide attempts. Last year....wow I think tonight is the night too....I tried to kill myself...wow one year.... I was on 40mg of prozac and 300mg of wellbutrin. I wish someone could have told me that it could have effected me in that way. If I would have known I would not have let them put me on both. The week before I was admitted I had two panic attacks which I had never had before.
Now I am just rambling...

rambling works.

Sorry for the anniversary. Yeah, seems I knew --my body knew-- these meds were bad stuff immediately, I am allergic to most all of them and, it seems they affect most ppl that way: I have paradoxical reactions, meaning, they make me MORE DEPRESSED!!! Sounds like another faux pas by the FDA eh?

well try and look at it as a year you lived... each time we can do this, or go a little longer without a crisis, the "experts" say we are getting better... hmmm at this rate I'll have to live to be 304!

sorry, I 'm depressed too.

It must be the moons. Everyone is having a really crappy time including basically everyone in my life. I hope that everyone can hang in there and not feel to crappy... If that is even possible. Depression makes me so mad for this reason, I wish I could help you all but it's an individual battle that we fight and suffer alone. Hope the sun starts busting out soon.

How was the Wellbutrin? I'm on 350's now with a possibility of doubling it. I understand it can be more devastating to teenagers. Is this true?

Lala,
I think so. Welbutrin made me crazy. I twitched constantly and could not sleep. It was a horrible experience for me.

for the flip side of the coin, I have been taking Wellbutrin and so far it had been the only thing I have been taking that has done any good for me at all.

I had a big problem with lack of energy and that's why they added the wellbutrin. I am still having a big problem but before the wellbutrin i was literally in bed all day.

it does bother my sleep though. I am fine as long as i take it early. in fact although i'm still having sleep problems, these are mostly "scheduling" problems and i am no longer regularly insomniatic and when i sleep i feel in the morning like i've had a good sleep.

i recently went to a higher dose of wellbutrin but instead of the once-a-day xl they switched me to the sr twice a day. the timing of the second dose was very critical for me, if i took it too late in the afternoon it was affecting my sleep again. i saw the doc today and asked him to switch me back to the xl.

like any of these meds they can be "miracle cures" or they can be "disasters". I think it is good to get opinions from others but you have to remember that they might not have the same effect on you. don't get too put off on trying something, as long as you trust your doctor you don't want to let someone else's experience keep you from trying something that might help you.

For the record I was on 350, the increased dose was 400 (200 twice a day) and now I am going to 450 all in the morning. I'll let you know if the increased dose is "too much" for me or if i have a bad experience with it.
