Hello, I am 40 years old and was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis 6 years ago and have not been able to work ever since. My husband was in a near fatal accident about 4 months later and I have been his caregiver ever since.Recently, a tragic event happened in our family and I have been having even more severe anxiety(feeling like I am going to hyperventilate), depression, worrisome.I have no energy. I have not cooked dinner in over 2 weeks and that is not fair to my son.I look over at him and it SCARES ME! he has absolutely no motivation. How can he when I dont?I have tried a few different antidepressants but since I have severe anxiety they seem to add to my anxiety so I'm scared to take them.I eat maybe once a day, have not had a bowel movement in 2 weeks, barely sleep.I have no friends and my only family member is over an hour away. I just sit around all day.there is nothing to do, nowhere to go and no one to go with. My mom just visited me for the weekend & all I did was sit around. My poor mom!. I just cried & cried after she drove away. I feel like I just want to sit in a dark room and cry and sleep until my time here is over.

It sounds to me that your anxiety should be addressed first. Do you have access to psychiatric care. I am assuming you are on disability which means you would have medicare. I think I would take advantage of that and seek professional help. I don't think anti depressants are very effective for anxiety. Some people get lucky with them for anxiety. Sounds like you have alot of your plate and relief of the anxiety would be a big help. You also have symptoms of depression. Anxiety and depression often go hand in hand so it is hard to tell if the anxiety causes the depression. It very well could. Tell your doc exactly what is going on and I mean a psychiatrist.
