lol.. i just read that you fall asleep in movie theathers Juliana..
that's so funny.. I have fallen asleep maybe once or twice.. but not that many times..

so you pay to sleep, huh? lol

I guess it depends on the person.. Yeah, depression has no clock.. night time is so much clearer for me though..

Direction.. that's one of the only times i've heard that being with their children makes them feel better.. kids usually bring stress..
i dont think being around my brother and i helps my mom. it just pisses her off even more..

i guess every one's different.

I guess they are the only reasons I find that keep me here...

They are the reasons I try to get better...

I fear that there will come a day when they no longer need me as they become teenagers and then adults. I scare myself at the thought - will I make it?

don't worry about that..

I'm eighteen.. and I still definitely need my parents..
Without them i would be lost, i would do so many things that I don't do..
Even though we fight and i make it seem that I dont want them in my life, i do..

Your children will NEVER stop needing you.. trust me. Especially if you form a good relationship with them.. even when they are off on their own, as teenagers or adults, they'll come back to you.

I have fallen asleep in many theatres -- with boyfriends, friends, my sister, etc. There's just something about a comfy seat and a dark theatre that makes me want to sleep. I have trouble falling asleep when I'm SUPPOSED to sleep, but in a theatre, it used to be so hard NOT to fall asleep. The funniest time was when I slept all the way through "Desperado." Have you seen that movie? I went to see it with my sister and she said I was out cold before the previews ended. Apparently it's a very loud movie with lots of gunfights. My sis said she kept looking at me in amazement... couldn't believe I was sleeping through that much noise. I didn't wake up until the lights came on after the movie... and I felt SO rested.

I hadn't been to a movie in years, but I went to see "Blades of Glory" last week. I was afraid I was going to fall asleep, but I ended up staying awake for the whole thing. I'm glad I did. It was SO funny.

Haha... Nah, I've never seen Desperado before, but it sounds like some kind of western in which there would be a lot of gun fighting. Now that I think about besides class the only other public place i've fallen asleep in is church. I remember when I was little, like 5 or 6, I used to fall asleep in church like all the time. The weird thing was that it wasn't because I was tired it was because I was SO bored.

As for Blades of Glory, I almost went to see it with friends but I had to go to church so I went there instead. I guess I could have talked to my parents and they would have let me go to church another time that week, but I didn't really feel like going out for some reason.

Falling asleep in a theater though... That's and expensive hobby. Movies here in the US are extremely over priced. The theater that's in the mall that's somewhat in my house costs $9.50 a person. Are movies in Canada that expensive?

Regular ticket price for a movie is around $10.50 here, but it's $8.95 on cheap nights. So, it is an expensive snooze. Sometimes it's SO worth it though. LOL. I was wishing there was a late-night movie playing at the theatre across the street last night. I had wicked insomnia and really needed some sleep. I felt like a zombie at work today.

Blades of Glory is really worth staying awake for though. Does anyone else feel better at night?

Haha... I think you should try falling asleep in a chair in front of your TV with the lights off. I think you'd save so much money that way. Does anyone else feel better at night?

As for Blades of Glory, I'll have to make sure I see it.

Haha... Probably because the easiest solutions in life are always the hardest to come up with. Don't ask me why that is though. I'm STILL trying to figure that part out. Does anyone else feel better at night?

Does anyone else feel better at night? It is very common. So common there is a name for it but I cannot remember it. It actually goes with melancholic depression. I have the same thing. Code:

[/c

That's interesting. I've never head of melancholic depression. It's odd because 'melancholy' has always been one of my favourite words... When I was a little girl The Melancholy Pig was my favourite poem. I loved that poem and the illustration next to it in my poetry book because I felt like that pig understood how I felt.

LOL. It's my fault too... and also pretty typical of the way my mind works at night. Since it's the time when I feel best and most awake, I have all sorts of thoughts in my head and I'm very chatty. I'm the queen of going off on tangents. I'm a rambler. Does anyone else feel better at night?

Haha... Welcome to the club. In junior high, I used to get us way off topic in class all the time. We'd go from talking about the apostles to like oranges.

We just have a non-linear way of thinking. I think it's a good thing. At work, when we have creative brainstorming meetings, I always come up with the best (least obvious) ideas. We're not off-topic; we're just creative. Does anyone else feel better at night?

This is interesting -- research about depressed patients feeling better when sleep-deprived... less depressed the longer they're awake.

Night-times are the worst for me. That is when I prob do 99% of my SI, and when I feel at my lowest. If only my psych nurse and t could work at night...they might actually get somewhere with me then lol.
Direction, what you said in your posts are so true of me- and I love the way you put it:- about wanting to eliminate from the time the kids go to bed until you go to bed. I'm at the computer now procrastinating about going to bed, wishing I would just get there! Also about how re. your kids "I guess they are the only reasons I find that keep me here...

They are the reasons I try to get better..."
That is So true for me too- I KNOW that if it weren't for my girls I would be in a much worse place than I am right now. They ARE my reason for living and to get thru each day...
