Do not wish to die...yet it is getting harder and harder to function.
I just want to stop. No eating drinking going to the bathroom no talking to T no talking on the phone to anyone no games nothing but uninterrupted sleep. I do not know how to snap out of it. Medication is taking so long to help. I care for an aging parent and recently have been considering taking her with me and leaving together. Crazy. I just feel too tired to go on living. I think of Robin Williams...and I believe he could not see a way out. This ...this depression, I think, makes me want to give up too. I just do not know how to hold on and be a 24/7 care taker too. I do not I repeat I do not want to die. I just do not know how to go on. I know there is not answer to my question. I am not sure I know why I put it out in cyber space. |

Hello Bmee2, I'm so sorry you are struggling right now. Is your doctor aware of how you are feeling? It is hard being a carer, is there any outside help you can get? Try to remember that you will not feel like this forever, at some point you will start to come back up out of the depths of a deep depression. Please take care.

I want to make an answer for your statement, "I am not sure I know why I put it out in cyber space." The answer is that you are in need of help, and you're willing to do anything, even posting online, to get that help. That's not a weakness, it's a strength.
These feelings can't be remedied on our own, we need to seek help and support. Contact a therapist, and talk to friends. If you feel you have no friends, then building a primary support system is vital, but don't try to do it alone. Robin Williams didn't see a way out, sure... but that doesn't mean there is no way out. Sometimes our depression takes over us, and the game ends. That's why it's so important to seek help before it gets there. You're already fantasizing about growing closer to death, even "considering taking her with me and leaving together." That's a sign. Don't take it lightly. I hope you find the support you need. |
