i suffer from a major depression that is borderline suicidal..but today..at the peak of a sudden anxiety attack this afternoon..i decided to try and meditate for the first time in my life using this youtube channel and it really..really calmed me down..i only tried day one but by the time i was finished with it..my inner world was relatively peaceful

i will retry this again before i go to sleep and do that again in the morning then try to make a habit of meditating twice a day and see if that eliminates my devastating morning panic attacks where everything else failed

i encourage everyone to try this out because the experience was quite pleasant and for anyone who has more useful links like this..please share!

Yeah, I use two apps on my phone. One is Relax and the other one in Buddhify. I find Relax works well when I'm trying to go to sleep. I like the background sounds with it. I find it really helpful for my anxiety.

Thanks for posting you experience.

thanks for sharing this info

so this morning..as my panic attack was just starting..i started meditating immediately..and while it did calm me down a bit..i did leave me with a sense of angry and envy toward normal people who live normal lives without the need to constantly experiment with this and that..just to stay sane

alas..i am giving this meditation a week and see how it impacts my morning panic attacks

cheers

I think that it is normal for us to have a sense of anger at times towards those that have it more fortunate, so don't be too hard on yourself. This is not an easy road but sometimes others have problems, too. They just hide it so it looks like they have it better. I know I wish that I could just be happy like other people, but it's not to be, so I just have to do the best that I can. Meditation can help with anger, too. Keep trying. Also, try guided muscle relaxation which I find helps with anxiety and anger better that just traditional meditation. Good luck.
