I'm sorry for posting when I don't know what I expect. I just feel so drained. I'm so tired. Soul-tired. I don't know if I can differentiate actual emotional crises, the kind that warrant immediate attention, from just plain laziness anymore. I shut off at random times and for the life of me can't switch myself back on until I do so naturally. Usually the next day. But that's not conducive to high school. That's not conducive to life. I need to fix myself, and I know very well that I can't. But I can't get help. And so here I am, stuck, and too tired to find my way out.

I'm sorry that you're having to navigate the mental illness highway....
Don't apologize for posting, or for not knowing what to expect.

Depression is exhausting. I don't know why. So, for me, I could not help myself because I was incapable. I did manage to reach out but as far as getting myself to the doctor... I could not have.

Do you have counselors at school, or a teacher that you trust?

Is this any help? Someone To Talk To, Online Therapy, Free Counseling - 7 Cups (there are also resources at the top of the page)

Keep posting, no matter what it's about. I am sorry that I'm not more help, but hugs to you.

I'm homeschooled, so, no counselors or anyone like that. I've heard of 7 Cups of Tea in the past but have never gone to the site before. Now that I have, I'm kicking myself (figuratively) for not having done so sooner. In the future I have a feeling that site will be a great help to me. Thank you for being the one to finally get me to go look around at it.

Dear StillIntending. I suffer crippling depression from time to time, in fact I'm just coming out of one. My disorder is BPD and depression is just ONE symptom of it. It SURE DOES make you extremely tired, I feel that I can hardly be bothered to breath sometimes. Getting myself upstairs to bed can be a major feat, terrible I know. It's part of the disorder of depression, the tiredness. You could get yourself checked out by your family Dr. To illiminate phyical issues.

Take care for now.

Hi StillIntending. I think fatigue and tiredness is part of the depression. I also experience fatigue at just doing little things.

hi Stillintending

I'm sorry you are not feeling so good. But perhaps if you had the medication looked at it would help. Are you in therapy? It can give you really good skills for managing symptoms.

There is Nami the American Association for the mentally ill. You can Google, and contact them to find out what services they have in your area. They do run peer to peer support groups. Then there is the WRAP course which is an eight week two hour session course for people formulate their own wellness recovery action plan for keeping themselves well.
Certainly keeping the mind busy doing especially enjoyable things will take the focus away from depression. And setting small easily achievable goals will give confidence that things are coming under control. I hope and pray everything improves for you soon. Take care. God bless and best wishes from your friend Francis
