I feel as though I have no one left. And it only gets worse with age. I have 70 year old parents that still yell at me, belittle me, tell me everything I do is wrong.
Possible trigger:
My kids hate me and treat me with no respect whatsoever. Tell me to shut up and
Possible trigger:
I admit I do have problems which has caused this. But lately I feel lonely and cry sometimes. I take antidepressants but what are they going to do when I have no one left?? I have been taking antidepressants for years on and off. I take them to deal with the people in my life. I am depressed and have an anger problem that is not normal. I also have extreme social anxiety. I feel as though I am withering away.

hi Fijiisland
I am sorry you are feeling so bad. Perhaps you should consider asking the Dr. to strengthen or change the medication so you can get more help. Are you in therapy? That can give you the skills to deal with depression and anxiety. Perhaps having as little contact as possible with your parents would be best. as they are only bringing you down. I am sorry that your kids are not treating you properly. I was wondering whether you would consider family therapy to improve your relationship with them. There is Nami the organization for the mentally ill and you can Google, and contact them to find out what services they have in your area. Very often they do have peer to peer support groups that would give you the opportunity of making new friends and fellow sufferers make the best ones. as we are all in the one boat. Try to keep your mind busy doing things, especially enjoyable ones to take the focus away from depression. Setting and achieving small goals will give you confidence that things are coming under control. I hope and pray you feel much better soon. God bless and best wishes from your friend Francis |

It can be a huge help to understand what's going on with you and why these things are happening. See if these notes make sense for that: http://egg.bu.edu/~youssef/SNAP_CLUB...0164151576.pdf Here is what I think is the best overall plan, starting with checking for medical or nutritional stuff http://forums.psychcentral.com/4262681-post105.html I'd be cautious about NAMI as they are heavily funded by drug companies. ![]() |

Hello fijiisland: I just wanted to say how sorry I am to read of your struggles. I hope somewhere, somehow, you can find the strength to persevere... & dare I say even triumph? I send you warm wishes that you may find the strength you need to buoy you on your journey.
