Personally, I have a suspect that when my parents will die I will be shredded beyond recovery... Despite lately I have been doing quite well on my depression.
Well, grief is supposed to last about 6 months, but there can be no rule about it.
We all here are available to listen and care at our best, but you may want to talk about your feelings with somebody who is qualified. It is not going to do any harm.

The best of luck

(((SAMM))). I am sorry that you are struggling at this time with your motional issues regarding your father and your own life. Depression causes many things to happen to someone emotionally, especialy questioning why you are suffering and what is your purpose in life at this time. Perhaps this is something you need to discuss with your therapist so your therapist can help you adjust to your emotional issues that you are having. A Loss can cause a severe loss in purpose and drive in life especially for caregivers, if the person you are or were caring for is a patient or a family member. There may be also support groups that you can attend, or volunteer programs in your area that may help to get you out of the house doing something that you feel is a help to not only you but to someone else as well. I hope things get better for you soon (((SAMM))) PM anytime. Soidhonia

The pain of loss, in time will be gone. The flood of good and fond memories will take its place. The light at the end of all our trails, faint though it maybe, it there for all of us....
