I've been really struggling for the last two weeks with my mind filled with suicidal thoughts and a wish to just die. It has been through PC that I have found the courage to keep on keeping on...at least so far. Knowing that so many people struggle with the same battles as I do and some how survive gives me hope that I can too make my life better some way. I've given up on getting "over" the depression and coming more to understand that I will probable always suffer from bouts of depression and I just have to accept it as a part of my life. Reading the life stories and struggles with PC friends helps me know that it can be done and I want to thank all of you for helping me through some bad times. I want to learn to be more supportive on PC and not just a "taker". Thanks guys.

I really wish I had some brilliant advice to provide that would make you feel better. All I can say is I understand feeling continually 'I want to be dead' (not suicidal exactly, just wish I could vaporize or something). And I agree that PC is a good place. It's made me feel less alone, introduced me to interesting people, and given me different perspectives that help sometimes.

I hope you get a break from the rough time soon.

the fact that you want to return the consideration or kindnesses you've been given is a testament to the goodness in your heart, your value as a human being. life it seems is sometimes giving, and sometimes receiving. everyone (even the "non-depressed" experience the same. would it help to see yourself not as a "taker", but a receiver? all the best quarterbacks in the nfl, college, and high school levels wouldn't be nearly as acclaimed without a good "receiver". don't feel bad for feeling bad. but do what you can to get over it...

Hello Little Mouse. It is good to hear you wanting to make a difference to someone elses life and your own as well. That is such an inspirational validity. Take care LM. Soidhonia
