Group hug to all. I sometimes write the wrong thing and I am sorry for that. I will do my best to keep my self positive and if I need to share or ask for support will do so without causing stress to others. I think I am accepting the fact that my wife is now with someone better and that will take care of her and my kids. It hurts a lot, but I open my self to the universe, god and this is his doing so is for the best, when my daughters grow up I wish they see me and hold no grudge

my shower schedule is off. teeth hygiene is off.

just don't have the time or energy to deal with it. I don't want to be comfortable or clean. I don't care. let me rot.

my record for not showering is 2.5 weeks.

Desiree, you are too kind.

Yesterday, didn't get much done but finally showered and brushed teeth, a big hurdle.

Hugs to you!

No, it's not about being kind, I feel for you coz I am going thru the same phase. So you do give me hope when I see you with some of the same struggles - then I get back the hope that I will recover too.
Btw I managed to shower and brush teeth too.

I like this thread. I’ve been doing minimal self care, I’m just not my old self. I used to put makeup on and henna my hair. My house is still not in order, although it is improving. I’m going to work on the dining room today, where things have been dumped.

Self care... I’d almost forgotten about this thread. Thanks everyone for reviving it. I used to be “good” with “self care” (grooming fur etc) but now not so much I’ve been trying to do more self care lately

Important self care statement

(Borrowed from key tones)

Looking at a drawing of us friends all smiling makes me happy

Would someone post it here for me?

(At least I’m guessing I’m thinking of the same drawing )

(Cepheid do please practise drawing a wolf )

(Stolen from Jennifer - hope this is ok.)

Anyway It's kinda hard to get out of bed. Now that its getting colder, it just makes me more immobile. I wish I could go out but sometimes I don't have the strength. I can brush my teeth or have a bath.

I can relate to this ...

Can you put some music on and dance a bit?

For me that isn’t as hard as going out, doesn’t involve all the preparations for one thing
