have you been to a doctor? You need to see a doc, maybe a therapist too, they will prescribe the meds you need at this time, there are many on the market and they affect people in differing ways, a psychiatrist is the best person to see regarding meds

There really isn't a good, better, best when it comes to depression meds.

Usually there is just a lot of trial and error until you and your pdoc find the right med and dosage.

Know I didn't answer your question but it really is a crap shoot until you find what works for you.

Then there are those like me who have treatment resistant depression and nothing works.

Studies have shown that between meds and psychotherapy (such as CBT) there is no difference after 6 months. ( I think I recall that right.) If you can combine them, you benefit more and/or more quickly.

There are many drugs on the market now for depression. The old standbys are still around, such as Triavil, and there are SSRIs and there are SSNRIs... each becoming better at pinpointing that part of the brain that messes with the chemicals that "cause" depression.

Welcome to PC. There are so many drugs on the market now. There really isn't a "best" or "worst" one. It is what works the best for you. Each person reacts differently than others to different meds. A pdoc will be able to help you find the best med for you. It make take a few so try and be patient.

<font color="#000088"> I have been seeing a doctor for a while now. I've been on different meds, some didn't work, some worked just some what. now i'm on a mixture of them they have been adjusted over the phone for the last 2 weeks, but I have an appt Monday at 2pm.

I hope we will find something that will work better. </font>

<font color="brown"> I have major non stop, continious depression. But have taken several big steps back the last 2 weeks. I guess that will be expected until the right mixture or med is found. </font>
