My depression has officially come back. I have been on medication for the past year, completed the therapy I could afford and no longer work with my social worker.

I keep trying to find ways to fix it but nothing is working and I feel absolutely helpless. Everything is going wrong, every time there is a shimmer of hope and i go full force for it, something goes wrong and I can't take that path. I just no longer see the point. I have done nothing with my life. Im jealous of everybody that has done something worthwhile... I just cannot stop crying today I want to give up. I just don't feel I can do this anymore.

Hi Zedsdead. Sorry you are suffering from depression. That sounds like you are having some very tough days.

There a couple ways to go, there are professional treatment like meds and in med resistant cases, ECT. Talk to a psychiatrist about those options.

For lifestyle changes, you might consider getting adequate sleep, eating well balanced diet preferably not high in carbs, walking, exercise, yoga and talking with people every day. A phone call to friends and family can be very uplifting.

Feel free to attend the Depression Chat Thursday 8PM EDT in the chatrooms under Depression Anxiety Chat room.

Thank you so much for the kind words. I eat a clean diet and do yoga daily at home with my kids, I don't have family or friends so I think that is a huge part of my problem at the moment. I really struggle to meet people as I think I have anxiety about leaving the house and social situations.
I left an abusive relationship and my children are young so don't have any time for myself these days, my 3 year old has special needs also and is very difficult at times.
I injured my wrist and have not been able to work since and my boss bullied me into resigning so workers comp can't help me now either. My doctor said he couldn't write me a note to cover me for employment insurance so now am unable to find a job or get any income.

This morning I woke up and felt really scared and overwhelmed, while trying to get the kids ready for school I had a panic attack. I cried and shouted at my kids and really scared them and myself. I managed to get an emergency doc appointment for this morning so am going to discuss with them some options.
I feel so scared and alone. It's an awful feeling.. I haven't felt this way for a long time.

I am sorry you are having a difficult time. Remember you can only take one day at a time. None of us are promised more. So for myself I try to be grateful for each day I get out of bed. (((((((HUGS)))))))

Thank you all so much!!!
I got a prescription for beta blockers for the panic attacks and back into another bout of therapy.

I think I just feel angry at the fact that I can't keep it together when I need to the most.. as a mother it's so important to me that my children grow up in a healthy home so don't end up with the same issues I do..

I am feeling much better this evening and am putting my health as a priority so I don't slip like this again.

Thank you for the support, it means a lot! Xx
