Thank you little turtle for being compassionate, understanding and respectful..
Things I also aspire to be...

“Those days of fear have gone” ...

If more people owned their own FEAR (and didn’t project, lie etc.....) maybe this world would be kinder...

I may have mentioned before a book by Dorothy Rowe “beyond fear” - if I recall correctly ... she has the opinion that many if not most MH dxs are linked to this..

It sucks in some forests when doctors have 15 minutes or less to listen...

And no,
I DO NOT BLAME THE DOCTORS

Most doctors are, or at least start off as, good, compassionate people.
I have NO WORDS for the “system” in this forest.

It’s not a question of labelling self or anyone as xyz

“They are not listening still”

I wish I could give you some of my years, little turtle.

You’re right, neither of us are “losers”
Although we have lost a lot

Thank you for not forcing me to censor all my words, censoring everything is exhausting... and.. frankly.,. A waste of my time

(No disrespect to anyone on pc; anyone who knows me at all knows many irl have forced me to censor myself to a “ridiculous” extent

Thank you again to little turtle and all on the AS IS bus

I'm currently taking ativan 1mg twice a day. Bc of the panic attacks and the restlessness. Plus it helps with agitation. It's just been a couple of days. I am a bit scared.... don't know what's going to happen.

Ativan is not suiting me....getting me a bit angry and more restless. If I cannot tolerate the anxiety at all maybe I'll try Xanax.

I wanted to be a medical doctor. I wanted to help people. I wanted to be looked upon by my colleagues, those who save lives, those who sacrifice some of their health and happiness for the sake of having a job where you heal the sick.

Not only that, I am extremely passionate about the "machinery" behind medicine. Granted, I am not someone who enjoys biochemistry and some of the other fields which are the backbone of medicine, as they're taught at the university level. However, if I could just find myself a little bit of place between the illness of myself and my parents, I could have just enjoyed the ride biochemistry is.

I could have been a neurosurgeon. Hell, I could have been the Director-General of the World Health Organization. It's easy to be skeptical about my statements, but I know what they are - an essential part of the truth of who I am.

But I am not fortunate enough to be so. Since my parents neglected my psychological and physical well being ever since I was a child, I am almost nothing. I can't even drive. I feel depressed whenever I think about this. There is no help for me. I am a goner.

I am sorry that your experience with doctors wasn't well. I am from overseas (neither US nor UK), and I think most doctors here are righteous.

I think there have been some improvements in the DSM or the equivalent?
Some of the ugliest, most NEGATIVE, blaming and meaningless labels have been scrapped?
Why would doctors or any professional ever use some of those labels... ugh

All suicides are very sad

A friend’s father killed himself when I was 14

Hugs and respect to little turtle and all on the as is bus

Dorothy Rowe has a lot to say about psychiatry and some of the labels that were used

I don’t think some of the labels used now are helpful or even accurate either
(But as I stay away from doctors I don’t carry a bunch of labels with no help like so many in this forest have . Jmo

Psychiatry is not loving.

It seeks to label and judge.

Maybe one day the medical profession will offer help rather than shame us.

When will we learn to lift other people up rather than knock them down?

Thank you Fuzzybear and Little Turtle for being here today Thank you to everyone on the bus
