When I have an episode, I am unable to enjoy any music. Not only: the mere idea of listening to music hurts me even more. I suppose this is what anhedonia actually means.

When truly in the grips of depression, I can listen to NO music...None!
While trying to move beyond the depression, I can manage to listen to some Classical music.

I wonder what that means, that some people listen to music when depressed and others don't? I don't pretend to understand this illness but it is an interesting question.

Pink, I think you could stutter to these tracks as well. I'd s-s-s-say g-g-g-go for it.

Okay, this is getting weird; there's a rock band, "Freudian Slip" that plays therapeutic music to help people.

I like..."There Is No Arizona..." by Jamie O'Neal, about being promised a new life in Arizona, only to find it an empty promise...we all have our Arizona's, places, ideas, emotions, that we were promised, sometimes as kids, only the fairytale is more 3 dimensional than 1 dimensional..........

Well Perna, that's....different.

I listened to a bit of it and the music is good but I don't like the voice. Also the lyrics feel a tad on the nose but maybe that's just me. Regardless, the voice would kill any therapeutic benefit I'd otherwise get from it.

And yeah, we all have our Arizona, like it or not. Although, ironically, right now I have an Arizona iced tea. It does taste a little bitter.
