I remember awhile back you wrote that you'd been married 65 years. That is one heck of a long time! Perhaps something happened to suddenly make you question things?
I've been married, myself, for 41 1/2 years.

I'm sorry to hear that, turtle. Sounds as if it was of sudden onset (?) Obviously you're functioning, though...
And of course any sudden change is tough for a spouse to deal with, too.

You must forgive my obtuseness, little turtle. No doubt everyone who has been on this thread for a long time knows all of this about you, whereas I'm just making your acquaintance.
I've had the impression you are EXTREMELY sensitive and take things very hard. But still -- the sudden loss of your girlfriend, that must have been devastating. It's not too surprising to me that you would need to pull into yourself for a while.
