Like a month ago I was doing good again but now I get the usual insecure feelings. The want to self harm has got a lot higher. And being suicidal even for little things. It's all really bothering. Specially when I'm trying to cope with loneliness. I'm expecting support and advice from you guys

i don't have a lot of useful advice to give but i'll Happily provide Support. Please do try your best to keep your mind busy and distracted by trying out hobbies and activities. If things get worse Please do seriously consider checking yourself at the nearest hospital or at least contacting a therapist or doctor. If you don't feel safe, please check yourself into a hospital.

How long have you been feeling this way? Have you looked for professional help?

Remember your coping skills. hold unto an ice cube, draw on yourself with a marker or pen, play with play doh, explore a safe object with your five senses, if you pick at yourself put hydrogen peroide over it and a bandaid over it and follow the coping skills, sometimes petting a pillow or pet or fuzzy keychain helps... Google Cognitive behavioral therapy and practice it. Call a crisis line. If you are bleeding, get treated at the hospital.

@Kriss, if during the difficult times when you find yourself contemplating and thinking about SH and suicide, if you're able to utilise the mind and shift your thoughts towards things you hold dear and have meaning for you, and also towards something of a more physical nature, even if it's walking in nature, then by doing that you'll be countering the negative impulses with positive ones. Easier said than done but it's sort of like swimming towards the shore when the current is trying to pull you out.

I mention that because it's a way of coping which helps me personally.

Stay strong in your resolve, you're going to get back to a better place again. Hoping you're managing okay today. 🙏

I get chronic suicidal urges as well. One thing that helps me, is I noticed that there’s a pattern where it becomes more intense but usually the really strong urge doesn’t last more than a day. It’s not to say that I don’t feel suicidal for longer periods, but I know that the more intense suicidal feelings do dissipate some. Something else I’ve noticed through body scan, is when the really strong urges are there my stomach typically hurts to go with it. I will go get some kombucha or ginger ale, etc which seems to help. As odd as it may seem I am not sure if it’s the actual drink or the fact that I am distracted. Something else I did pre-pandemic and will do post pandemic is I would go to the movies if it was really really bad because it removed me from my environment and if it was a good enough movie it would distract me some. I would do this By myself because usually I do not want to be around people when I am feeling that bad. The movies are almost never crowded anymore so it’s a good place to go and be alone and still be away from your environment that could possibly harm you. They say to go get help from mental health professionals, unfortunately with my experience I have not found that to be helpful. I would like to add though that my nephew goes through similar issues, he found his last hospitalization to be very helpful. So I guess there’s two sides!
