I'm starting to feel that drowning feeling again. It has been coming on for a few days now. sleeping, crying and not being able to concentrate on anything. i hate this feeling, i just start going down and down in that whirlpool of water and finally that bad place is here. I have a very dear friend that is so comforting but I think my depression is so much stronger than any kind words. i just want and need hugs. i am so alone here. i hate this feeling of loneliness, i haven't seen my therapists this month yet and won't till the 25th. that is so far away. i don't want to feel this way, what can i do that i haven't done in years, nothing. PC is the only place to turn to. help me cope! .........pj56.........

Pucky, I am sorry you feel so alone and sad! I know just how you feel. I was at that point today. My brother called me today and he helped talk me out of my funk. I hope you have someone you can call to help you out of your thinking. It helps to have someone who you love and who understands you. If my brother had not of called I would still be in the sad lonely place.

I, too, have felt as you do. I'm sorry that you are in so much pain. Having a good friend is such a blessing. Perhaps this friend could spend an extended period of time with you? Just being around can be a comfort to someone who's hurting. Words don't have to be spoken because sometimes words do not convey the empathy or sympathy that may truly be felt. But a person's presence--quiet and reassuring--can mean so much. I will say a little prayer for you. Take care.

I was once told, that you have to just keep your head above and tread water through the difficult times until you are ready to keep swimming but you cannot let yourself drown.... that is what your friends are for.... they are your lifejackets.

We are here for you.
Tread water with me.

I'm so sorry that you are feeling the way you are ... I know those times unfortunately, and the feeling of sadness and helplessness.

I try to read if I'm able to -- just to try to focus my mind on something other than the constant internal pain that I'm experiencing.

It's too bad that ppl who are all feeling that way can't connect in person to support one another whenever we need ...

It's good you are reaching out and wanting to feel better ... there is hope. You won't feel like this forever.

Hi Puckyjan: Try swimming with it, not against it...it works for me...like a surfboard being buffetted, don't forced your way, just ride it out...not easy, but sometimes just the ticket...

Best,

Peter

sadness, i'm drowning

You are not alone, one of us is always around to offer comfort and support. I'm not sure this frog of little brain can do much in the comfort department. I can however give ((( hugs )))
sadness, i'm drowning

Those downward spirals are horrible. We always keep hoping we are at the bottom but never are. It's a long time until you get to see your T and having the drowning feeling makes it feel even farther away.

Try doing just one thing each day. Little steps are easier to focus on. (Sometimes getting out of bed is my "thing" for the day).
