Hi, it has took me an hour to try and work out what to say to you - but now I am feeling so anxious I am going to dive right in.

The adult side of me knows that this forum could be just what I need, but the child side is very scared and panicky. I have looked on the site for the past 2 weeks and you seem very understanding and supportive, I hope it will help me.

I have always put others first, so coming here for help instead of giving it to others is hard to do. I also hope to offer support to you too my first time and I am scared.

I suffer with chronic fatigue as well as depression, so even though I would love to post everyday, I have to look after myself too and not feel under pressure to do too much. Using the computer exhausts me, you see, even though I really enjoy it.

I hope that I don't 'put my foot in it' or make any mistakes - I have never done this before and I hope you will let me know if I do !!

I'm off for a rest now my first time and I am scared ahhh - he's cute !

Don't feel so panicky now my first time and I am scared - poppet

I've put my foot in mouth here and have still been supported and accepted, don't feel you'll make a mistake, we all do and we learn by them

Welcome, Poppet. I find the forums supportive.

Some of the current threads among participants who have been here long enough to have a history with each other might be offputting -- if you have been lurking. So I hope you will know that the operational term here is "have a history with each other" and know that even when we are working out some emotional squiffles with each other, there is still lots of love and support here.

I have touble with low energy. Last year, I had a diagnosis of lupus but that seems in doubt now. So what is it? Fibromyalgia? CFS? Who knows? I am too tired of the quest to continue searching for the diagnosis. Doesn't seem to be anythying that will kill me and it isn't severe enough for most of the treatments, such as steroids --

So I just have to make sleeping my hobby. my first time and I am scared

Welcome, and stick around. Glad to have you.

Hi Poppet,
I was talking with you a few weeks back on chat, remember? I am so glad you have the courage to post here... the first few times are the worst! But as you get to know the place better, you get to see how caring everybody is... I have never come across such a supportive site in all the websites I have seen. You have come to the right place.

So... sit down, relax and take your time posting!

~ Silver.

my first time and I am scared Such a kind welcome from you. Thanks also for helping me to feel free to post when I can - I am struggling so much with feeling guilty that I can't respond to everything I see !

I am falling into a lot of old patterns doing this but one of the reasons I came on here is to challenge them - oh, its hard ! But I am not giving up !

Silver Queen, I do remember the chat ( how could I forget the fear I felt ) and how kind you 3 were - one of my problems is I have a deep expectation that ppl won't accept me and so far ppl have - yippee !

Take care, all of you ..... poppet

so what exactly do you ned help with? did i miss something??? that chronic fatigue thing - the doctors know about it? my mum was asleep nearly all hours of the day, not really knowing why - then they discovered she had a thyroid disorder...my dad says the thyroid gland is the starting motor of the body. do you know if its a physical problems you have? maybe if you aren't sure of whats causing it, it'd be worth telling your doctor about your thyroid...when i say thyroid, i might actually mean something else that starts with thy...check my signiture to understand me

Hi Angie, I hope I can be here for you if you need. Can amy, reah, laura and the little one say hello to me ? If they don't feel safe, thats ok - just let them know that I am understanding and gentle to little ones.
I was thinking of you before ( have noticed a few of your posts ) and wanted to let you know that I am aware of, and rspect very much, ppl who have DID. So if they, or you, need to check me out by asking me anything - please feel free my first time and I am scared

Hi, sgd, thanks for thyroid suggestion, but it ain't that - wish it was something I could get a tablet for.
I suppose the point of my post was just to get reassurance and support from the forum. I can't be me very well unless I feel safe - I had seen ppl being supportive to others while I was lurking around.
But that old depression thing always tells me ' you are different, they won't be like that with you ' and other nasty stuff.
I joined the forum to stand up to that ( thinking here about your other post saying 'fight it' ) but in doing so lots of old thought patterns are throwing themselves in my way - and it's so hard. Its a new way of fighting it that I am doing here - reaching out to others instead of pushing it down and pretending it isn't there.
my first time and I am scared keep on keeping on............
