I live in the USA, (New Hampshire). It's so cold and snowy here 3/4 of the year. It totally depresses me. Last week it was in the minus teens and we had about 2 feet of snow. It's nice at first, but after a few months it gets you very depressed.........that's why I'm here.
I can't wait for summer. I love hiking and climbing mountains in the warmth. That makes me happy! |

Hi! I'm sorry the winter makes you feel so down. I can be really affected by the weather too. I'm Canadian, so our winters are pretty horrible, and I'm currently going to school in Scotland, where it basically rains non-stop. Recently I got a special light that mimics natural light, and I sit in front of it for about an hour every day -- I was skeptical at first but it really, really helps. It's very soothing to have that light on and its definitely having a positive impact on my depression. Maybe you could give it a try?

Australia huh? Well they have their fair share of troubles there too. I just saw on the news that many have died in wildfires and one of my best friends is in Melbourne, pregnant in 112 degree weather.
![]() I know the winter stinks (I live in a New England state as well) but it will be spring soon and then.... summer, my favorite season! ![]() ![]() |

Your right about cabin fever! I do a lot of mountain climbing, but when the winter comes, I find that very hard to do. I snow shoe hike but that gets to you after a while. I mentioned Australia because I have a friend (who I haven't talked with in a while) that moved there and loves it. He said the weather is nice and that would be good for my many broken, old bones. Plus a change wouldn't hurt. Just thinking out loud I guess.
