Has this happened before? Are you under a lot more stress? Not my business but curious.

It sounds unpleasant. I hope you find what is causing it soon.

Take care.

I can really relate to the "not here" part. I'm going thru some bad times right now (think I need therapy again). Just wanted you to know that you are not alone in this feeling.

I also relate to that "not here" experience. I am like that quite a lot at the moment, but then I am experiencing a lot of stress in my life. Like RhysMadison, I want to reassure you that you are not the only one.
Why not vent here, where we understand ?
We all do it sometimes.

There's not much you can do to stop it. Just use it as a time to reflect & think w/ your parts. I found out that I can't fight it, it's gonna happen whether I want it to or not. Taking a break from work, life does help. If that's not feasible, I don't really know what else. Maybe a hosp. stay? Just something, somewhere you can go to breathe a bit. Your mind is overwhelmed right now. Would it help if you talked 'bout it some more w/ us, like how are you feeling, what are your feelings? I bet we can relate to it.
I don't know what more to say.
Thinking of you.
Love,
RM

EV--didn't you just stop meds too? couldn't that have an effect on this numbing/avoiding reality you are experiencing?

take care and please continue to make choices that help you craft the future you are deserving of...... a safe, stable, healthy, enjoyable one in which you can see the good things about you that the rest of us can see.

yeah im sure thats apart of it, zh. but the truth is this happened b4 i ever got on meds and b4 i ever when to see a therapist. Years, but i guess im used to living alone where i can let myself go. Its difficult having school, and work, and my brother when it happens. I have come to realize I would make a horrible mother avoiding reality I am sure the med-withdrawal is making it worse/come back tho.

Thanks all for responding.

No, what you are experiencing is NOT schizophrenia. My son is schizophrenic, their mentation is quite different to that of a non-psychotic. avoiding reality
If you think you might be schizophrenic, that is an almost certain indication that you are not. Most schizophrenics don`t really believe there is anything wrong with them, they think there is something wrong with the rest of us. avoiding reality
