This might not be the right place for this, but this is where I felt comfortable posting.

I have to go see my cardiologist today for a problem that they have been keeping an eye on. The doctor is really mean and he scares me.

All doctors scare me, especially men-doctors. I tend to kind of "check out" during appointments, but I'm still scared. I want to not go, but I know that I should.

Wish me luck.

Thanks to both of you.

The appointment went ok. It wasn't too bad.

I got in a car accident coming home though. I zoned out and hit the concrete median thing coming off an exit. the airbag came out. The car feels weird but I got it home. I don't feel anything; I'm shocked I guess. Mean Doctor Mean Doctor Mean Doctor

I'm sorry you had such a scary day.

I understand zoning out while driving.

((((gentle hugs))))) I would say the appointment really didn't go that well... as you dissociated from the experience... some part of you (who was trying to drive, maybe?) couldn't handle it. This can be so scarey, I'm sure. Get some ice cream and pamper yourself... hope you feel better soon.

I'm so sorry. All that matters is that you are OK and you didn't hurt anyone. I did the same thing a few years back. Zoned out and ran into the back of another car. I got lucky the guy I ran into was worried about how upset I was. He didn't care about his car. He was worried and asking who he needed to call to come get me cause I was pacing around the side of the road and he was afraid I was going to get hit.

Are you feeling alright physically??? Just take it easy tonight. I hope you are Ok.

Don't need to feel stupid about crashing car, last time we had to go to a really stressful appointment we crashed the car too Mean Doctor Mean Doctor

Probably it's happened to lots of us on this forum.
The main thing is that you aren't badly hurt. Cars can be replaced.

Hope you are feeling better soon Mean Doctor Mean Doctor

I agree with what the others said. Good you weren't hurt and don't feel stupid. It's one of those things.

{{{{{All of you}}}}}

Thank you all. It makes me feel better that others have done this too, although I am sorry that you have.

I'm starting to hurt today; I'm not quite so shocked anymore. I am going to go the the immediate care place and get checked out I think. A lot of people are saying I should. I wasn't wearing a seatbelt when I crashed and I'm pretty beat up.

I probably have to get a new car. The cost to fix mine is more then the value of it.

Thanks again for the support. Yesterday was a "no good very bad day". Hopefully today will be better.
