we are goin to a new pdoc this morning and were scared, already si. he is goign to mess it all up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yes i have to go, sorry

It is very scarey to meet a new provider...but they try so hard to help..thats what they are there for..take care..

ty Evangelista, went ok. was upfront about him dropping me if i don't stick too my meds. i told him i just forget and then from there i just stop. i see him in 2 weeks and he wants my fiance there for who knows what. but anyhoot. ty Evangelista to responding to my post.

 Cher It is very scary meeting a new provider. He proboblly wants your fiance there so he can meet your whole support system. I hope all goes well for the next two weeks. Safe Hugs, Songbird

You did so well to go! I have a habit of chickening out. I would say he wants your fiancee there because your fiancee is a very important part of your life! And of course, he might want to help your fiancee to help you too! |

That was very brave of you cherybery. I think your pdoc probably wants to help you make the best support system you can.

Thank you so much Songbird, Rainbow and Bear! I did almost chicken out. I got so flustered on not being able to find the office I was going to turn back home but I just kept driving and found it. I was surprised how much time he spent with me. I told Bill he wants him to come too my next appt and Bill says "whatever we need to do to make you feel better" I don't know what tomorrow will be like but right now I am living in the moment of happiness.

Wondeful!
Remeber to come back to this post the next time you have the same problem, and you can remind yourself that though going to the therapist is hard, it usuallybrings about good results |

Thank you ALL!!! Bill was out of town and came back into town last night. When he got home he slowly was finding some of the SI marks that I did prior to the appt. He told me he does not like it but he is here for me. I am slowly trying to explain the BPD too him so I don't scare him away. But he has been wonderful. I started my Triliptal again and told him beforehand how it makes me very sleepy and anxious when I begin taking it. He held me too sleep. So yes I am both fortunate and grateful. This is the first time in my life someone has been so active in my mental health issues. I am floored because I never had that kind of support. In the past it has left me homeless because people I have lived with have not been able to handle it.
So with Bil I have been apprehensive because I love him so much. But as I open up slowly to him he is accepting me......all of me. HUGS too (((((((((((ALL)))))))))))))))) Cher

Cher,
 There are also good books and info on line on how to share the info with loved ones / support people. Perhaps that will help Bill to understand and help put you at ease.
